Judge Is Pete's Secret Lover

Okay not really but....

I CAN’T believe that junkie PETE DOHERTY has got away with it again.

He was up at Thames Magistrates’ Court in East London yesterday for a review of his drug use and was praised by District Judge Jane McIvor for his attempts to get clean.

She said Doherty had made “great efforts,” adding: “It’s a long process and there is another nine months to go.

“This is more optimistic but we cannot take the pressure off.

“It takes day-to-day effort.” Judge McIvor even said the singer was doing so well his case need not be reviewed again until April.

Then the BABYSHAMBLES star’s defence counsel, Bruce Clark, proudly told the judge his client’s progress had been encouraging and said: “Most people would have failed by now.”

What? I reckon our soft justice system is starstruck.

As he left the court in a dark suit and trademark trilby following the five-minute hearing, Doherty said it had not been easy trying to give up drugs.

He said: “It’s like she said, really it’s just time.

“For the first time I am actually turning up for appointments in a coherent state.

“For them, it’s a big step.

“It’s just a really positive time for me at the moment.”

Positive, Pete? Are you absolutely positive it’s positive?
