Former supermodel NAOMI CAMPBELL has publicly apologised for throwing a mobile phone at a maid.

The British star admitted to fellow classmates at an anger management class in New York she was "so angry" at the time of the incident in January this year (07), but accepted it was "no excuse" for her behaviour, which left ANA SCOLAVINO needing five stitches in her head.

She said, "This time I truly mean it. I feel sorry and I'm really going to learn from my mistakes.

"I was angry, so angry, but I realise this is not an excuse for what I did."
