Lurid details have been revealed of a "sex and drugs" film at the centre of an alleged plot to blackmail a member of the Royal Family.

Two men are said to have demanded £50,000 in return for footage which was taken on a mobile phone.

The film was claimed yesterday to show a close aide "boasting" of engaging in a gay sex act with the royal individual.

The aide is also apparently seen taking cocaine from an envelope bearing the royal person's name, chopping up the drug with a Harrods credit card and snorting it.

The Mail knows the identity of the Royal Family member but cannot name him or her for legal reasons.

A gagging order issued by a judge prevents us from revealing the person's gender, marital status and if he or she has children.

There are fears, however, that the identity will emerge abroad where reporting restrictions do not apply.
