It was all eyes on Cate Blanchett as the busy actress showed off her maternal curves at the 2008 Helpmann Awards in Sydney, Australia yesterday.

The new mom (she gave birth to her third son Ignatius barely three months ago) was among industry figures who braved the cold, wet conditions last night to attend the ceremony at Sydney’s Star City Casino.

Cate snubbed the red carpet, but Sydney Theatre Company’s boss lady was centre stage to present best new Australian work to Michael Gow’s Toy Symphony during the live broadcast. And while Gow received his fair share of applause and acknowledgement, it was Cate’s dramatic gown with plunging neckline that stole the show.
