Melinda Melinda Melinda !!!!!! I think she'll make it big.
So last night was Jon Bon Jovi night and it was pretty much interesting. BTW, did Bon Jovi have his face done? He looks good is all I'm saying.
Most original rendition was from Blake Lewis which also impressed a lot of people. I wasn't. I like the original version still. Some thing should not be messed with, like all of Bon Jovi's songs.
When Mr. Bon Jovi advised the performers to make the songs their own, he found a star pupil in Lewis, who took the biggest gamble in Idol history with his heavily-beatboxed deviation from the "You Give Love a Bad Name" norm. Decked out in head-to-toe black with his blonde hair dyed to match, Lewis confidently imitated a record being put on the jukebox and launched into one of the most innovative performances of the show's six-season run. And –surprise! – even Simon Cowell gave him the green light. "That was absolutely the right thing to do and this is what will keep you in the competition," he told Lewis.
Capping off a near-perfect performance round was LaKisha Jones, who won her way back on the nation's good side with a soulful rendition of "This Ain't a Love Song." During her taped master class, she candidly told us "I've heard of Bon Jovi and I've seen him on Oprah but I've never heard his music." Well, no one would have guessed after that performance. As Cowell crowed "I could kiss you after that!"
So, who do I think should go today? Chris and Phil. I am so tired of hearing Chris do a Justin Timberlake imitation.
