HEATHER MILLS has been accused of falsifying her professional ties to a war charity, after the organisation denied any knowledge of her help.

The estranged wife of Sir Paul McCartney claims on her website she is a leading supporter of Protect Dafur - an organisation which raises money for victims of the war-torn African country.

But a spokesman for Protect Dafur says, "We are surprised that Heather Mills has chosen to name us. We have no formalised arrangement with her." Mills has also been promoting herself as the campaign spokesperson for the charity No More Landmines - but the organisation’s director, Neil Morrans, has dismissed these claims.

He adds, "We’ve not had any discussions. I met her once in August."
