Evel Laid To Rest

Daredevil Evel Knievel was laid to rest yesterday in a public funeral in his hometown of Butte, Montana. Knievel died 11 days ago after years of failing health at the age of 69.

Matthew McConaughey was on hand to speak (he became friends with Evel during a History Chanel documentary) saying:

“He’s forever in flight now. He doesn’t have to come back down; he doesn’t have to land…He’s in that spot of grace for the rest of time.”
