Alec Baldwin Is A Psychotic Narcissist

Alec Baldwin has been all over the US press recently, whining about how hard his life is, how he wanted to commit suicide after a private rant at his daughter was leaked to the media and how his beloved TV show '30 Rock' is under-valued by studio bosses (he even refers to TV executives treating the show like "A red headed stepchild").

One man with little sympathy for Alec is Greg Garcia, creator of much-superior show 'My Name Is Earl' who has highlighted his divine writing skills by penning one of the better put downs to Baldwin since 'Team America'.

"Maybe the reason enough people aren’t watching 30 Rock to make Mr. Baldwin happy is because Alec Baldwin is so unlikable as a person. 30 Rock is a really funny show. And Alec Baldwin is funny as long as someone else is writing his words. When left to his own devices, he sounds like a psychotic narcissist who whines about being rich.”


Ouch! To be fair, Alec has been quite uninspiring in some movies as well ('The Shadow' anyone?). Greg (who is fast becoming a personal favourite) wasn't done yet though…


"Instead of blaming NBC, I think Alec should consider that some people in America may not want to watch a man who cusses out his own 11 year old daughter on a phone message, calling her a “rude thoughtless little pig.” It’s a shame that the people who produce such a funny show have to put up with such a distasteful man on a daily basis.”


Let's see if Alec can come up with an equally scathing reply by himself or if he needs a team of writers to do it for him.

Well, Alec proved that he won't be bullied (though is more than happy to rant at his daughter and call her "A rude thoughtless little pig") and responded wittily, asking Garcia a list of questions about Scientology with a wry smile.

Alec made the classic mistake of thinking that just because some of the stars of 'My Name Is Earl' are Scientologists, the creator of the show must be as well.

Wrong. Garcia decided to reply via Gawker.com and didn't hold back on the sarcasm and the vitriol. Again.


"Alec, I can't tell you how happy I am to once again point out that you are an idiot. I'm unable to answer your question about Scientologists because, although I respect anyone's right to their own beliefs, I am not currently nor have I ever been a Scientologist. Maybe you should have done some research that extended past the comments section of Defamer before you crafted your insult."


Ouch again.


"If you choose to attack me again may I suggest something witty about me creating the show ‘Yes Dear’ or just simply a joke about the fact that I’m bald. Both true…Good luck with the Emmys and don’t forget to tune in for the one hour season premiere of My Name is Earl September 25th."


Now that is some Grade-A patronising and sure to infuriate Alec even more. Let's hope this is the end of the matter though, as it's hardly an even contest, is it? It's more like watching a martial arts expert repeatedly kicking a puppy in the face.

During this rather nervous interview with The Los Angeles Times, the award-winning actor plays with a computer, waxes randomly about life and then, poof — he’s gone!


Alec on turning 50 in April: “A man turns 50 and he has a funeral for the skills that he never had. He says goodbye. I’m never gonna be a cop, never gonna be a professional baseball player, never going to play the piano, a ballet dancer, the leading rusher in the NFL. All those things gone. But! There’s other things to do. The world is run by men in their 50s. So I’m trying to decide what to do when I quit this business.”

Alec on a potential career in politics: “What would I run for? Yeah, I do have to find another career. I don’t want to do this. . . . I don’t.”

Alec on the difference between cable and network: “I love The Sopranos; I love everything on the cable stations where it’s much more hard-edged, salty, more adult. The networks, we don’t have that luxury. … To talk about what I want to do to Condoleezza Rice sexually without saying something really, really anatomical — that takes a lot of doing.”

Then he suddenly stood up and said, “Lemme go find out something, hold on” and, inexplicably, went to lunch.

He’s yet to return.

ALEC BALDWIN's sister-in-law has attacked the movie star for lying about his rage problems in a TV interview.

Ashley Basinger, the younger sister of Baldwin's ex-wife Kim Basinger, was appalled when she heard the actor calling his 11 year-old daughter Ireland a "thoughtless little pig" during a three minute answer machine rant that was leaked to the media last month (Apr07).

But she was even more shocked when she watched her former brother-in-law tear up on TV show The View last week (27Apr07) as he attempted to explain himself.

Speaking exclusively to US tabloid the National Enquirer, Ashley says, "He deserves an Oscar - he's such a liar. Alec really turned on the waterworks on The View.

"He said he's never yelled at his daughter before. That's a ridiculous lie.

Whenever he gets upset with Ireland he yells at her.

"He might not have called her a pig before, but I guarantee you I have seen him very, very angry. I asked Ireland myself if her daddy yelled at her, and she said yes.

"He needs help in the anger management area."

ALEC BALDWIN has been dubbed a bully by the movie producer who first introduced him to ex-wife KIM BASINGER.

DAVID PERMUT, who directed both stars on 1991 movie The Marrying Man, claims Baldwin's recent controversial voicemail rant at Ireland, his 12-year-old daughter with Basinger, reminded him of the stress the actor caused on the film's set.

He tells PageSix, "It all kind of brings it to the surface again for me personally. If I were homeless on the streets and had a tin cup in my hand and somebody pulled me off the sidewalk and offered me a script to produce with Alec Baldwin committed to starring in it, I'd pass." Permut also claims Baldwin only succeeds playing characters close to his own - citing his critical success as a difficult boss on small screen hit 30 Rock.

He says, "When he plays a no-good f**k, he excels. My personal feeling is that when he has to portray anybody with some vulnerability and sensitivity, I don't think the audience buys it."

Kim And Alec Soap Opera Drama

Kim Basinger has denied that she leaked the voicemail in which her ex-hubby Alec Baldwin went on a rage against their daughter.

Her denial comes days after Alec issued a statement on his website, expressing sorrow over the leak of the voicemail.

Representatives for Kim have issued a statement refuting Alec’s allegations that the tape was a part of a “sealed court deal” leaked by Camp Kim.

“Everybody is always asking why this custody battle has been going on for so many years and now they have the answer,” People magazine quoted the statement as saying. “The issue is not about Kim or the alleged alienation that Alec constantly refers to. It is about his ongoing aggressive behavior.”

A representative for the Kim, however, said that the message was not sealed under a court order.


The statement also called on Alec to “finally address his unstable and irrational behavior.”

“Kim’s sincerest wish is for him to finally address his unstable and irrational behavior so he, at some point, can potentially create a relationship with his daughter. Until then, Kim will continue to protect and safeguard her child’s well-being as any parent would,” said her representative.

Meanwhile, Alec’s attorney is still insisting that the leak of the voicemail was caused by someone from Kim’s side, and that the tape was kept in a court’s sealed file.

“We don’t agree with Kim’s position. This court has sealed proceedings for Ireland’s protection for years. Why would this recording be any different? I’m not even allowed to say whether the tape was played in court or not. They (Kim’s side) are breaking the confidentiality rules.”
