What to do if GLAAD can't rely on Hollywood's self-proclaimed gossip queen to avoid the F-word?

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation is none too pleased with blogger Perez Hilton for mixing a few antigay slurs into his diatribe against Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am.

"I don't need to respect you, and you're a f-g. You're gay, and stop being such a f----t," the openly gay Hilton said in a videoblog response to reports of a fight between him and the hip-hop singer last night in Toronto.

"These are vulgar antigay slurs that feed a climate of hatred and intolerance toward our community," said Rashad Robinson, senior director of Media Programs at GLAAD. "For someone in our own community to use it to attack another person by saying that it is 'The worst possible thing that thug would ever want to hear,' is incredibly dangerous.

"It legitimizes use of a slur that is often linked to violence against our community. And it sends a message that it is OK to attempt to dehumanize people by exploiting antigay attitudes."

Hilton maintains that he was was roughed up by will.i.am and one of the Peas' security guards. Polo Molina, 36, has been charged with one count of assault and ordered to appear in court August 5.

The "Boom Boom Pow" singer said in his own video post that he did not hit Hiltonb but rather was just coming to Fergie's defense, claiming the celeb-dirt shoveler had disrespected his bandmate.

"This dude twists it and says that I assaulted him," will.i.am said. "When I was the one that came to him with respect and he was the one who called me a [f-----t] outside the club."

Now GLAAD is calling upon Hilton to admit to his mistake.

"We have reached out to Hilton and asked him to apologize for promoting this antigay slur, and we would ask media outlets to avoid repetition of the slur in their coverage of this story," Robinson said.

But it's not as if the GLAAD folk think, no matter how inappropriate Hilton's reponse, that the blogger deserved to get hit.

"While not all the facts in this case are known, the violence that appears to have been committed against Perez Hilton is unacceptable and ought to be condemned in the strongest possible terms," Robinson added.

There's been no response yet from Hilton, who twittered earlier today that he was "honestly SHOCKED at the amount of people saying [he] deserved to be hit.

"Shame on you! NO. Violence is never the answer. NEVER."

Blogger Perez Hilton and Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.I.Am are already embroiled in a war of words over a fracas following Canada's MuchMusic Video Awards last night. Now the lawyers are getting involved.

Bryan Freedman, whose aggressive representation of Hilton (aka Mario Lavandeira) has resulted in a few recent court victories against paparazzi agencies and others, is threatening Will.I.Am with legal action if he is found to have assaulted the blogger or encouraged manager Polo Molino to do so.

"Perez will take legal action against anyone who chooses to resort to physical violence as a means to respond to criticism they do not like," Freedman writes us in an email. "It is my understanding that criminal assault charges have been filed against the band’s manager, Polo Molino, and we are conducting a legal investigation as to whether Will.I.Am encouraged and/or instructed Molino to engage in this physical assault."

Hilton took to Twitter and an expletive-laden video posted on his website today to lash out at Will.I.Am and posse for allegedly tracking down the blogger at an MMVA afterparty. Hilton was allegedly punched in the eye. Will.I.Am claimed in his own video that it was a fan that struck Hilton. But Freedman sounds skeptical.

"Rest assured that anyone who physically assaults Perez Hilton or encourages others to do so because they cannot handle a little criticism will be sued as quickly as I can type," he writes. "His first amendment rights will not be infringed upon through fear, intimidation or violence."

Fergie Was Too Drunk To Fly

Black Eyed Peas star Fergie was banned from boarding a flight to the UK after being branded a lush, I mean "Too drunk to travel".

An onlooker told the Daily Mirror:

"She was falling all over the place and had to be supported. She was in no state to fly.

"But when she was prevented from boarding she couldn't believe it. She was drunkenly ranting at staff but could barely string a sentence together. It was very embarrassing."

Sooo.... not only was she banned from boarding but she delayed the flight for an hour while her luggage was removed. Her three bandmates remained on board and left her sorry us.

A Virgin Atlantic spokesperson said:

"We can confirm a female passenger was denied from boarding as she appeared intoxicated and was therefore unsuitable for travel."

Black Eyed Peas frontwoman Fergie will do whatever it takes to keep her engagement a secret - even if it means hiding her ring in her handbag when she's out in public.

The Fergalicious One reportedly accepted BF Josh Duhamel's Christmas wedding proposal, but she doesn't want to make the happy news public until they have set a wedding date.

Life&Style claims Fergie was showing off her 4-carat diamond engagement ring at a pre-Christmas party at film producer Michael Bay's home on December 15 -- but she has kept it hidden ever since.

Josh's representatives have laughed off the engagement rumours, but a friend of the couple tells the magazine: "They don't want to announce the engagement until they set a wedding date, but Fergie can't wait to marry Josh."

Sources suggest the perpetually tanned couple is following in the steps of supercouple TomKat by planning to say their I Do's in Europe. An insider says, "She wants a big, formal wedding."

Sweet. The first marriage is always the cutest.

Usher And Fergie Roles In James Brown Movie

R&B heartthrob Usher and The Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie are reportedly vying for roles in the upcoming James Brown biopic. Just days after the funk legend died of pneumonia on Christmas Day, producer Brian Grazer and director Spike Lee signed a deal to bring the singer's colorful life story to the big screen.

Website PageSix.com reports Usher is hoping to be cast in the role of Brown, while Fergie - real name Stacy Ferguson - hopes to play one of the star's wives.

Fergie: Duhamel Is "Big"

BLACK EYED PEAS star FERGIE was suitably impressed by nude pictures of boyfriend JOSH DUHAMEL before they started dating - but insists the snaps don't do him justice.

Fergie, who spied the model-turned-actor in a series of naked poses for a coffee-table book before they got together, was delighted when she finally got a close up of Duhamel's intimate area - which is larger in the flesh.

Speaking to British magazine Attitude, she says, "I did (see the photos) and trust me, he's way more well endowed than that picture gave him (credit). He told me it was really cold in that room."
