RYAN O’NEAL’s son GRIFFIN has launched a blistering attack on his estranged father, alleging the actor was angry with late partner FARRAH FAWCETT for having cancer because it "diverted attention" away from him.

The 44-year-old actor, whose mother was late actress Joanna Moore, believes the Love Story star used his battle with leukaemia for sympathy after he was diagnosed with the deadly illness in 2001.
And Griffin insists his dad was furious when his partner Farrah Fawcett was struck down with anal cancer in 2006 because it shifted attention from him.

Speaking to U.S. talk show host Larry King, Griffin recalls, "I remember when she was diagnosed with cancer and my dad got upset and he goes, ‘No, I’m dying. You’re not dying. I’m dying.’ And I said, ‘Well, dad, that sounds a little selfish because you’re in remission. You have been in remission for years now.’" Host King then asked Griffin to clarify the statement, asking if the elder O’Neal was "mad" at the Charlie’s Angels actress for "having cancer", to which he replied, "Yes, because the attention was diverted to Farrah. He didn’t like that. (He’s an) absolute complete narcissist in every way." Griffin went on to accuse his father of staying with Fawcett in the last days of her life to ensure he was included in her will.

And he predicts that Ryan will now cling to his son Redmond, his only child with Fawcett, who the actress left her entire estate to.
Griffin adds, "I think they (Ryan and Redmond) are probably going to get a lot closer now, since Redmond has all the money. Yes, they are close but for reasons that are ill. Ill reasons."

Redmond O'Neal Will Fund Father's Future Meth Purchases

Details of Farrah Fawcett's will have surfaced and reports indicate that the 70's television icon left her entire estate to her son, Redmond, and nothing for her longtime partner Ryan O'Neal.

The actress updated her will in 2007, after learning her cancer has spread into her liver. The majority of the actress's nearly $6 million estate was placed in a trust fund for her 24 year old son.

The Daily Mail reports, "Farrah appointed two trustees to make sure the money supports her son's journey into sobriety rather than giving him the means to destroy himself. Redmond's inheritance will be tightly controlled." O'Neal (who is also Redmond's Father) will not be one of the trustees.

Redmond, Fawcett's only child, has struggled with both drug and alcohol addictions. He is currently serving time in a Los Angeles jail, on drug-related charges. Once he is released, he will get a monthly allowance from the fund as well as money to buy a home.

Ryan O'Neal said last week, "I loved her so very, very much. Redmond is in the fight of his life but is doing well. I will do everything that is in my power to honor her memory and to protect our son."

Fawcett, who died on June 25, also left some money to the University of Texas which was her alma mater.

Guess Who Plans To Make Money From Farrah Fawcett's Death?

FARRAH FAWCETT’s best friend ALANA STEWART is planning to publish a memoir she compiled while filming the final stages of the late actress’ cancer battle.

Stewart shot much of the footage for the Farrah’s Story documentary, showing the Charlie’s Angel favourite try and seek out new treatments in a bid to prolong her life.

And after the success of the documentary, which pulled in 8.9 million viewers in the U.S. when it was aired in May (09), Stewart will release My Journey With Farrah in August (09).

Some of the profits raised from sales of the book will go to the Farrah Fawcett Foundation for cancer research.

The actress died on 25 June (09) aged 62.

Farrah Fawcett Laid To Rest

It was a grand and moving sendoff for Farrah Fawcett, who died after her long battle with cancer last week. Hollywood stars, and Farrah's family gathered in a Los Angeles cathedral on Tuesday to pay tribute to Charlie Angel's actress Farrah Fawcett, who died of cancer last week.

Ryan O'Neal, 68, was seen weeping as he lifted Farrah's dark brown casket covered in orange and yellow flowers while surrounded by police. The star-studded service came just five days after the 62-year-old lost her long battle against cancer.

Redmond O'Neal, 24, was given special permission to leave jail - where he has been serving time for drug charges - to attend the funeral in the presence of two police deputies and a sergeant.

Redmond, who was allowed to visit his mother at her bedside before she died, read Lamentations 3: 17 - 26 from the Bible, while his father read Wisdom 3: 1- 9.

Representing Farrah's most popular TV show Charlie's Angels was her former co-star Kate Jackson, who looked sombre in a black dress and sunglasses as she entered the cathedral. Farrah's ex-husband, Lee Majors, Ernie Hudson, romance novelist Jackie Collins and sister Joan Collins also attended.

Redmond O'Neal To Attend Farrah Fawcett's Funeral

Farrah Fawcett’s son Redmond O’Neal, currently serving a jail sentence for violating his probation on drug charges, will attend his mother’s memorial service on Tuesday, his attorney tells People.

“That’s an absolute yes,” says William Slattery about plans for the 24-year-old son of Fawcett and Ryan O’Neal to go to the funeral.

O’Neal will be allowed to leave the Pitchess Detention Center in Castaic, Calif., where he is enrolled in an inmate treatment program, for the invitation-only ceremony, which will be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Angels at 4 p.m. PST in downtown Los Angeles.

Fawcett, 62, died after a long battle with cancer on Thursday.

Farrah Fawcett, the iconic actress who I'll always fondly remember as Jill Munroe on Charlie's Angels, was paid tribute to by her former cast members. Farrah passed away yesterday morning after a battle with cancer.

Ryan - who has a 24-year-old son, Redmond, with Farrah - said in a TV interview with Barbara Walters: "I've asked her to marry me, again, and she's agreed.

"Farrah is fighting for her life. But we will wed as soon as she can, say yes. Maybe we can just nod her head.

"I promise you, we will. Absolutely."

Ryan, 68, says he has never felt the need to marry his long-term love until now.

He added: "I used to ask her to marry me all the time. But it just got to be a joke, you know. We just joked about it."

Family friend Joan Dangerfield said: "They thought about getting married in Germany. They had me check into all the laws to see if that was possible. But we just didn't get it together in time."

Farrah's hairstylist Mela Murphy is looking forward to the couple's big day.

She said: "He is the love of her life and she is the love of his life."

Ryan O'Neal has not had this much camera time since the last time he got arrested for drugs. He is loving the attention Farrah Fawcett's condition is bringing him. He is loving it so much that they are filming Farrah as we speak so they can show another installment of her fight against cancer. I'm sure that if and when Farrah passes away, Ryan will be right there with a camera in hand with Alana Stewart standing right next to him making sure he gets the right shot. Enough already. Why do we need more? Why do we need Ryan O'Neal calling in to the Today Show to tell us all of this? Oh yeah. NBC showed the first part, and was number one in its time slot. OK, so NBC wants more also. Nothing like death to get those numbers up.

Oh, and remember how a few weeks ago, Farrah didn't even know Redmond was in shackles when he came to visit? How she was so out of it she had no clue he was in jail or wearing his prison jumpsuit to visit her? OK, so then how do you explain this quote from Alana Stewart about Farrah watching the special?

"I was a little nervous. She cried a few times. It was quite emotional for her. When it was over [I asked her], 'OK, so did you like it?'"

Fawcett apparently responded "very much".

Uh huh. So, Farrah stayed awake through the entire two hours? Uh huh. She was probably crying because she couldn't believe Alana wanted to be paid double to keep filming her dear friend. I hate the lot of them.

For 30 years Ryan O'Neal has never wanted to marry Farrah Fawcett. Not once. But, now that she is in bed dying and he can see her money slipping away from his greedy meth hands he wants to get married. At a red carpet premiere last night for the documentary starring Farrah, Ryan tried to make it sound like he was being a good guy and really wrestling with the marriage decision.

You know she's been married, I've been married. She's said, 'We have a good thing.' But I said 'you said that 30 years ago, shouldn't there be a sea change?' Maybe there is, you never know."

This guy is unbelievable. Tell me again why there needed to be a red carpet for some NBC documentary. Just show the thing on television, let people watch it and cry if they want to and hopefully it is something that gets people talking and makes some type of contribution in the fight against cancer. Listening to Ryan O'Neal get interviews and a bunch of new fame off this disgusts me, because, lets face it he is a disgusting guy.

I can't believe he is actually trying to convince her to marry him. There are ways for him to be kept out of the money even if they get married, but, honestly, not knowing anything about her estate, I would say he thinks he can pocket some money if he marries her. I don't know why he would be so adamant about it now. He wasn't acting this way before she got cancer.

Farrah Fawcett Needs A Miracle

Farrah Fawcett is "praying for a miracle" in her cancer battle.

The 'Charlie's Angels' actress has undergone unsuccessful radiation and chemotherapy treatments in a bid to beat anal cancer, but she insists she is not prepared to give up her fight.

She said: "Cancer is a disease that is mysterious, headstrong and makes its own rules. And mine, to this date, is incurable.

"I know that everyone will die eventually, but I do not want to die of this disease. I want to stay alive. So I say to God - because it is, after all, in his hands - 'It is seriously time for a miracle.' "

In a documentary following her plight, Farrah admits she never expected to be stricken by the disease and says the diagnosis instantly changed her priorities.

She said: "Of all the things I've ever hoped for in my life, finding a doctor to surgically remove my anal cancer did not even make the top one million on my list.

"But now it was number one, number one as in, primary cancer, meaning it was the first in and for that reason, it needed to be the first out. Because it was this peanut-sized tumour that had sent its army of mutant cells into my liver. And it would continue to send reinforcements into any organ into my body unless someone did something to stop it."

A spokesperson for the actress recently denied claims made by her long-term partner Ryan O'Neal that treatment for her terminal illness had "pretty much ended".

The representative said: "She never stopped getting treatment. She is in a stable condition."

Farrah was initially diagnosed with cancer in 2006. Although doctors believed it had been successfully treated, the illness returned in May 2007.

Sure Blame It On The Son

Ryan O'Neal has nothing to do with the drugs found in his home, says his lawyer.

The 'Love Boat' actor was arrested on Wednesday (17.09.08) after police discovered what they believed to be methamphetamine - known as crystal meth - in his bedroom.

The officers were conducting a sweep of the property to ensure Ryan's 23-year-old son Redmond - who was also arrested following the raid - was adhering to his probation conditions, relating to previous drug offences.

The 67-year-old actor's attorney Mark Werksman is adamant Ryan is innocent.

He said: "Those were not Ryan's drugs, he doesn't use drugs, and has nothing to do with them.

"This situation is very upsetting to Ryan because he's just trying to lead his life quietly. I have full confidence that Ryan will be vindicated."

Sources say the star's partner - 'Charlie's Angels' actress Farrah Fawcett, who is Redmond's mother - was asleep at their Malibu home when the pair were arrested.

Cancer sufferer FARRAH FAWCETT will die in the next six months if her latest course of chemotherapy fails, according to reports.
The 60-year-old actress is currently travelling between hospitals in Los Angeles and Germany, seeking treatment to tackle her cancerous anal polyps.

But the National Enquirer claims the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes.

A source tells the tabloid, "She’s gaunt and starting to lose weight. She’s miserable. But she’s not giving up. For her it’s always: ‘Never say die.’"

Jill Munroe Is In Germany

Farrah Fawcett is receiving "alternative treatments" for cancer in Germany – and videotaping the experience for a possible documentary, a close friend of the actress's tells PEOPLE.

Craig Nevius, who produced Fawcett's reality show Chasing Farrah and who is now overseeing the video project overseas, says that although Fawcett's cancer has returned, her health has not declined.

"She was declared 100 percent cancer free and then it came back," he says. "She was discouraged by the treatments she got here. The fact that it recurred after all that she went through was heartbreaking."

He adds: "She has been in Germany. That's true. She's getting alternative treatments not allowed in the U.S."

Fawcett was originally diagnosed with anal cancer in September 2006. After undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments, she was declared cancer free by her doctors on Feb. 2, her 60th birthday.

However, in May, doctors discovered that the cancer had returned. A malignant polyp, smaller than a pea, was found during a routine three-month checkup.

Ryan O'Neal Arrested

Hollywood actor Ryan O'Neal has been arrested in California for allegedly assaulting his son Griffin.
The star was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and negligent discharge of a firearm after police were called to his Malibu home.

The 65-year-old actor was freed on bail after five hours in detention over what police called a "family dispute".

Griffin O'Neal, 42, was not hurt in the incident although a 22-year-old woman suffered injuries that were not gun-related.

Former CHARLIE'S ANGELS star FARRAH FAWCETT is winning her battle with cancer and will have one of two malignant growths cut away during surgery later this month (JAN07).

The actress was diagnosed with anal cancer last year (06) but revealed she is on the road to a full recovery last month (DEC06) after completing radiation treatment.

And now the 1970s pin-up has been given great news - both her growths have been drastically reduced and one can now be removed.

A source tells US tabloid the National Enquirer, "The combination of chemo and radiation shrunk what were once two strawberry-sized malignancies down to one the size of a gumball."

She Doesn't Want To Die

A smiling Farrah Fawcett gave the thumbs-up sign as she told reporters she's "doing great" after her cancer treatment.

The actress had lunch in Beverly Hills with Ryan O'Neal, who angrily denied claims in the American press that his former lover had given up her struggle to beat intestinal cancer.

Holding up a tabloid magazine article claiming "Ailing Farrah wants to die", O'Neal, 65, said it was "bulls**t".

He said Fawcett, his partner for 17 years - they have a son, Redmond, 21 - had been buoyed by support from wellwishers around the world.

"She was stunned by the positive feedback, the feelings that have manifested themselves," he added.

"She had no idea that anyone still remembered her like that." Fawcett, 59, was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year and began six weeks of chemotherapy in October.
