First it was men's leggings or "Meggings", now high heels for men or "Meels"?????
Apparently the meggings are all the rage in Milan this coming fall. Me think this will never ever be a 'rage' unless of course you're a fashion victim!!!!! But then again, who knows, I might even try the meggings..... NOT!!!!
Milan - Now I know there are many out there who will think I have lost it when I write that a key, new must-have for men this coming fall will be a pair of leggings to be worn outside, not just in, the house, but that was the big message at the debut Marni men's runway show this morning in Milan.
Leggings made of microfiber cotton and wool, shown in violet, forest green and Milan fog gray, all of them with stirrup straps, except of course for a couple of them cut above the knee, accompanied half the looks in this poetic, polished and unexpected collection.
These leggy knits were paired with mercerized cotton jerkins, snug little Rude Boy with manners jackets and Two Tone era skinny ties – a big Milan trend. Marni shoes were also real winners, knobby workerist boots in bottle green or metallic gray with subtle strips of contrasting color like burgundy.
"Unconventional but sophisticated," smiled Consuelo Castiglioni, Marni's Creative Director, backstage after the show.

Sooooo.... anyone for leggings? This so not going to be a trend... I could see a couple of gay guys wearing this but other than that, it will go out of style before you say Armani.
A major Brazilian fashion event has moved to bar models under the age of 16, part of a national effort to increase awareness about eating disorders following the death of a 21-year-old model from anorexia last month.
"In Paris and Milan, models under 16 years can't participate in these types of events," Paula Marini, a spokeswoman for Ford Models, said Thursday. "In Brazil this is a new procedure."
Next month's Sao Paulo Fashion Week added the minimum-age requirement to a previous rule that modeling agencies present a signed medical certificate proving their models are in good health.
