Hilary Duff is set to fill screen legend Faye Dunaway’s shoes as one-part of the infamous 1930s bank-robbing duo Bonnie and Clyde in the indie drama, The Story of Bonnie and Clyde.

Last week, Faye supposedly zinged, ”Couldn’t they at least cast a real actress?”

Hilary has retaliated, telling E!, “I think that my fans that are going to go see the movie don’t even know who she is, so you know…. I think it was a little unnecessary but I might be mad if I looked like that now too.”

Meow meow meow!

For the May 2008 issue of Allure, Hilary actually paid homage to Faye in a photoshoot inspired by the 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde.

We all know that Hollywood again is doing a remake of the 1967 classic "Bonnie And Clyde" with Hilary Duff and Kevin Zeger in the title roles.

Hollywood legends Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty are pissed.

Well accoding to the Sun-Times, Faye is pretty much not happy, to say the very least, that Hilary Duff is playing her.

"Couldn't they at least cast a real actress?

Hilary should watch out or she's going to get hit by a wire hanger.
