Can it really be half a decade since Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez decided to call time on their mutually-beneficial relationship? It only seems like yesterday that their grinning faces were staring smugly from the pages of every celebrity magazine, as they declared their love for each other and watched the money come role in.

Since the split they've gone off and found new partners and even had children. Ben had his fairly quietly with Jennifer Garner (what is it with him and Jennifers?), while J-Lo managed to finance the purchase of a small tropical island with the proceeds from her two little miracles.

But poor old Ben, with his shitted-up career, is still being asked about his glamorous ex-partner. And did he regret appearing in the 'Jenny from the Block' video and dancing like a drunken uncle at a wedding?

"If I have a big regret, it was doing the video. But that happened years ago. I've moved on."

Ah, thought so. And he may have moved on but there are still people who shiver whenever MTV have the sheer temerity to play that video nasty. Luckily, Ben isn't bitter about the way his career has panned out after the relationship ended.

"It not only makes me look like a petulant fool [to blame Lopez], but it surely qualifies as ungentlemanly? For the record, did she hurt my career? No."

No. Being as emotive as a block of wood hurt Ben's career.

J-Lo and Lady Posh Are Insecure

JENNIFER LOPEZ was surprised by VICTORIA BECKHAM’s honesty when the pair met for the first time, because the SPICE GIRL openly admitted to being insecure and wanted to know if she was too.
Lopez was amazed by how "sweet" Beckham came across, and admitted to having moments of self-doubt too.

She tells American publication Glamour, "Victoria said, ‘People would never guess you’re insecure. Are you? Because I know I am.’ It was like she had to hear it from me.

"And I said, ‘Yeah, of course I am.’ She said, ‘But you seem so confident.’ And I said, ‘Because I am confident! It doesn’t mean I don’t have my moments.

But you have to remember the value of your individuality - that you have something special and different to offer that nobody else can.’ She said, ‘Oh, I love hearing this. What you’re saying is so great!’ It was really sweet." Lopez isn’t the only celebrity to admit to feeling insecure - actress Catherine Zeta-Jones recently confessed to finding it difficult being herself in front of strangers, because she lacks self-confidence.

J-Lo To Adopt

Actress Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are planning to adopt a baby from Puerto Rico.

The couple, who married in June 2004, are always gushing about how much they want to start a family, but they haven’t had much luck so far.

There have been lots of reports that J.Lo has suffered a miscarriage in the past few months, and some newspapers suggested she was receiving IVF treatment to help her conceive.

Jennifer, however, has denied both of these claims.

Puerto Rico is the destination of choice for the loved-up pair as Jennifer, 37, feels that she won’t come under as much criticism as Madonna because the baby will have the same cultural heritage as her and Marc, 38.

A source said: "Jen and Marc are dying to have kids but it just doesn’t seem to be working for them.

"Jen realises she’s not getting any younger, so they’ve jointly decided that adoption may be the answer to their prayers. They’ve had some very serious conversations about it and have decided the best place to look is Puerto Rico as Jen and Marc’s parents were both born there."

The couple have started the process by researching orphanages in the area.

They realise it will take a while but that doesn’t bother them as they want the fuss surrounding Madonna’s adoption of baby David from Malawi to die down first.

Katie Holmes was the one getting married on Saturday, but who was the biggest diva of the weekend? Jennifer Lopez! Tom Cruise and Holmes kindly arranged for a private plane to bring some of their more famous friends to Italy for their wedding. But a source tells Us Weekly that, hours before Jada Pinkett Smith, Leah Remini and Jerry Maguire director Cameron Crowe boarded the chartered 757 to Rome, “Jennifer Lopez sent her assistant to secure seats by laying her belongings on all the best seats!” Lopez also flew her hairstylist, Ken Pavés, into Rome and set him up at the posh Hotel Hassler to do her hair for the big day. Meanwhile, it’s supposed to be the bride’s special weekend, but the singer made sure that all eyes were on her at a group dinner at the restaurant Nino on Thursday night. Says a source, “The November 16 welcome dinner was supposed to be casual. But J.Lo, of course, wore a gown. So much for casual.” And the special treatment didn’t stop there. At 2:33 a.m. in the wee hours after the wedding, Lopez, 37, had a waiter sneak two doggie bags to her and husband Marc Anthony, 38, as they were on their way to the airport to return to the States.
