Kevin Jonas Is Engaged

Kevin Jonas surprised his girlfriend Danielle Deleasa by showing up at her doorstep in New Jersey early Wednesday morning and dropping down to his knee to ask her to marry him. Presented with a cushion-cut diamond ring that Jonas designed with Jacob & Co., Deleasa couldn't believe what was happening.

Then, "She said yes, yes, yes like 500 times super fast in a row," the oldest of the Jonas Brothers tells PEOPLE exclusively.

Jonas, 21, and Deleasa, 22, who met in May of 2007 while vacationing with their families in the Bahamas, haven't set a wedding date yet. "It still feels like a dream," she tells PEOPLE.

Overnight Flight

When Deleasa, a former hairdresser, first met Jonas two years ago, she admits, "I didn't know who the Jonas Brothers were." It was Kevin who eagerly pursued her after meeting her and then spotting her walking on the beach with a flower in her hair.

Jonas popped the question after arriving in New Jersey on an overnight flight from a concert in Vancouver. "It was tough performing last night, knowing that I was going to ask the biggest question in my life to the most amazing girl in the world," he says.

And while the news is bound to break a lot of young girls' hearts, the Jonas family couldn't be happier.

"Our hearts are filled with joy today and we are happy to share with you that our son Kevin has asked Danielle for her hand in marriage," parents Denise and Kevin Jonas Sr. say in a statement to PEOPLE. "Her answer was yes, and it is such a blessing that she will be joining our family. Kevin and Danielle have not yet set a date. Family is very dear to us, and we hope we have raised Kevin to be a wonderful man and husband. Please join us in our family's celebration and in congratulating Kevin and Danielle. Thank you for all of your support."

And younger brothers Joe and Nick said on their Twitter page: "Congrats big brother.....Dani welcome to the family, we can't wait to have you join us on the road!"

Nick Jonas Does Washington

Nick Jonas is indeed gearing up to Mr. President. Nick went to Washington today (Yesterday) to talk to the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs about the renewal of federal funding for research for Type I diabetes.

Other celebs who joined Nick on Capital Hill included retired boxer "Sugar" Ray Leonard and chairwoman of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, actress Mary Tyler Moore.

Type I diabetes can be potentially fatal if not treated properly, and can also lead to nerve damage, blindness, and heart disease. In 2005, Nick Jonas was diagnosed with Type I, and he has been working hard to fight the disease ever since.


"It's one of those things that doesn't affect every moment of your day, but when it does, it's the worst timing possible," he said after the hearing. "It's a day to day battle and you have to take it one step at a time."

Oh Nick, not only can you write amazing songs, but you are seriously eloquent my friend. I hope they renew the federal funding.

The End Of The JoBros!!!!?????

Jonas Brothersnew single 'Paranoid' isn't faring as well as it should on Radio Disney or on mainstream radio. The song has yet to hit the Top 40 of pop radio in its third week in release. Radio Disney has the song at #20 on their official countdown and is more interested in playing 'Live to Party.'

On iTunes, the song has been in and out of the Top 100, sitting at #91. Disney is not panicking even though their 3D concert film didn't match expectations and new episodes of their JONAS series on Disney Channel continuously get beat out in the ratings by Nickelodeon shows.

With an upcoming tour spanning three continents and the new album hitting stores in June, the band could be feeling the pressure. Nick said, 'We're all about taking those gradual steps. Kev, 'We definitely have no expectations.'

End of one of the biggest brother bands in teen pop history? JohnnyWright: 'People are wrong when they say the bubble has burst. It's just changing. We are focused on longevity and transitioning to a slightly older audience. When you do that, you risk losing some of your core fan base.'

Joe Jonas' Lovenest Search

JOE JONAS is so smitten with girlfriend CAMILLA BELLE, he's looking for a Los Angeles lovenest for the couple to escape to.

The 19-year-old shares a Hollywood pad with his Jonas Brothers bandmates Kevin and Nick, but sources claim he's desperate for more privacy and has secretly been scouting for a condominium in the city.

A pal tells Star magazine, "(The Jonas Brothers' home is) too crowded and inconvenient for Camilla. They're looking for somewhere that's super-private."

But Joe - who has vowed to remain chaste until he marries - will face opposition from his family.

The source adds, "His parents are against the idea of Joe getting a condo for himself, though. They want the boys to do everything together."

Jonas and Belle, 22, have been dating since they met on the set of the band's video Love Bug late last year (08).

Miley Cyrus wants all the haters out there to know that she has no feud with her ex-boyfriend, Nick Jonas. And, for that matter, she has no feud with his brothers or with any other Mouseketeers. She only has love for her Disney family.

"I know you guys saw me, I was hanging out with the Jonas Brothers at the inaugural. That was really good," she said in her latest YouTube video. "And we are friends ... I love the JoBros."

Of course, she was seen sharing a hug with her ex, Nick, at Monday night's "Kids' Inaugural: We Are the Future." "I love Nicky. I do love him," she said. "I love Kevin. I love Joe. I love Frankie. I love all the boys."

Miley also wanted to finally put another feud rumor to bed: She is friends with Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez. Like both Demi and Selena have said in the past, Miley is also letting all her fans know that these girls have no feud with each other at all.

"So everyone thinking there's a big feud between me ... and Selena and Demi. Actually, I'm going to have meatloaf with Demi tonight," she said. "I'm riding my bike to Demi's house. So I'm going to be partying with Demi 'cause we're friends and I love her and she always is there for me. She is one of my bestest friends."

Joe Jonas Girlfriend Speaks

Taylor Swift is one of the sweetest and most stunning starlets to step onto the country music scene, and like Jordin Sparks, she also felt the recent MTV Video Music Awards were too racy.

“I think that there was a little too much sex being talked about instead of music,” Taylor told Pop Tarts at Sunday’s DVD premiere of “Another Cinderella Story." “But I think (host) Russell Brand is a great comedian and he’s funny. I think that the Jonas Brothers are the most professional people in the music industry — they laugh at themselves and know how to have fun regardless of whether they are being picked on throughout the entire show.”

But unlike so many other young starlets, this 18-year-old isn’t even remotely tempted by the troubles of Tinseltown.

“I wouldn’t be a party girl even if I wasn’t doing this; that’s just not the way I live my life,” she said. “There are cameras and microscopes now, but honestly, I wouldn’t be a party girl either way. That’s just not how I am.”

So while Swift vows to stay away from “the scene," she’s certainly making no secret of the fact that she's growing up.

“My new album comes out Nov. 11 — I wrote every song on it and co-produced it and wrote a lot of songs about my life for the past two years, so I’m really excited for people to hear it,” she said, adding that boys, love and break-ups are at the heart of her upcoming release.

JoBros On Russell Brand

The Jonas Brothers have spoken exclusively to MTV News about Russell Brand’s comments at the Video Music Awards.

The British comic made jokes about the Disney stars’ ‘purity rings’ during our ceremony on Sunday night.

Nick Jonas said: “I don’t know if there is really a positive (to come out of Russell’s comments)- he was kind of running out of material after a little while.”

And when our presenter Laura asked if the brothers had a message for Russell Joe said: “I’d give him a hug. I think he needs a hug!”

Talking to us at the Camp Rock premiere in London the boys also talked about meeting celebs backstage at the VMAs.

Joe revealed: “We met a lot of people there- we met Britney Spears and she was incredible!”

Kevin added (sincerely): “It was an honour to lose to her as well.”

Joe Jonas Dating Taylor Swift???

Taylor Swift says that Joe Jonas is just a friend. But the Jonas Brothers cutie fueled all those "Are they an item?" rumors when he turned up at the country star's concert on Sunday night.

Hiding among a group of people, Jonas, 19, arrived at the Rascal Flatts concert in the West Palm Beach Cruzan Amphitheatre five minutes before Swift, 18, took the stage.

"I spotted Joe quickly, but he was trying to hide from the crowds by tucking in-between a few people," says Mishelle Rivera, Assistant Promotions Director for Miami's Y-100 Radio. "He was wearing a baseball cap and real casual dress so he wouldn't stand out."

Rivera and her friends saw Jonas near the soundboard – next to Swift's dad – ready to watch Taylor, who sparkled in a sleeveless turquoise sequin dress and cowboy boots, perform her number one hit, "I'm Only Me When I'm with You."

"He watched only her performance, then walked backstage to the meet and greet area," says Rivera. "But when he saw people start to recognize him, he hid. It was real obvious he didn't want people to know he was there to see Taylor."

A surprise guest at a couple recent Jonas Brothers concerts, Swift shot a cameo for the band's upcoming 3-D movie in New York City last week.

In July, she denied to PEOPLE that she and Jonas are an item, saying of Joe and his two brothers, "We're all friends."

Reached by PEOPLE on Thursday, Swift said through her rep: "He's an amazing guy and anybody would be lucky to be dating him."

And on Aug. 5, when Ryan Seacrest asked Jonas if he was dating Swift, he replied: “She’s a great girl ... I think anybody would love to go on a date with her.”

Asked whether the two are dating, Swift's publicist said, "They are friends and she’s friends with all the Jonas Brothers." A rep for the Jonas Brothers had no comment.

The sibling trio, who look set to top the U.S. album chart this week (beg11Aug08), were being quizzed about what qualities they seek in a potential partner.

Joe, 18, says he would hate a girlfriend that constantly whined at him, explaining, "If they are nagging and annoying, you’re like, ‘Go away’." Eldest member Kevin admits that he doesn’t have time for a girlfriend.

The 20-year-old says, "We’re not ever really with people, ’cause (sic) we’re always travelling. And you get on the phone and they’re like, ‘My day is awful, blah,’ and you’re like, ‘This is not what I need right now!’" But Nick, 15, who dated Miley Cyrus and is now reportedly romancing Disney star Selena Gomez, shows he has a softer side than his brothers.

When quizzed about his ideal girl, he said: "They have to be good to their moms."

The Jonas Brothers wear purity rings as symbols of their commitment to remain virgins until marriage. Their ordained minister father, Kevin Sr., strives to make time for the family to worship and give thanks for their blessings.

He revealed to USA Today: 'The boys made a decision when they turned 12 years old to put those rings on their fingers. We didn't give them these rings as a pledge of perfection, but as a reminder of values. Our hope is that they'll always know that there's a good, right way to treat the opposite sex.'
