Nicole Kidman Is Overpaid

Australian actress NICOLE KIDMAN has been named as Hollywood’s most overpaid star.

Kidman has come top of a list of the least bankable celebrities by U.S.magazine Forbes.

The Hours star replaces her fellow Australian Russell Crowe at the top of the list.

Kidman’s films are estimated to earn only $1 (54p) for every dollar the actress is paid, compared with $8 (£4.32) last year (07).

Last year’s (07) The Invasion - a remake of 1956 classic Invasion of the Bodysnatchers - lost $2.68 (£1.45) for every dollar earned by Kidman, who was paid a reported $17 million (£9.19 million) to star alongside Daniel Craig.

In second place is Jennifer Garner, whose recent movies The Kingdom and Catch and Release have both underperformed at the box office.
Kidman’s ex-husband Tom Cruise takes the third slot, while the rest of the top ten is rounded out by Cameron Diaz, Jim Carrey, Nicolas Cage, Drew Barrymore, Will Ferrell and Cate Blanchett.

Crowe, Forbes’ most overpaid star of 2007, showed most improvement - jumping to 18th in the list of actors who are worth their paychecks.

LATEST: A representative for NICOLE KIDMAN has confirmed she will not be selling pictures of her new baby SUNDAY ROSE - and she has already turned down a string of lucrative offers.

The star gave birth to her first child with husband Keith Urban last week (07Jul08) and the couple has since been dogged by rumours of a possible multi-million dollar picture deal.

But now a spokesperson for the actress has announced that there will be no deal or pictures of baby Sunday, and despite numerous offers the new mother never considered accepting any of them.
The representative tells New York Post gossip column PageSix, "A number of publications called to offer money, but she never considered it."

The actress delivered her first biological child on Monday (07.06.08) and her ex-husband was one of the first to get in touch to pass on good wishes to her and husband Keith Urban.

A source revealed to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Nicole and Keith are besotted with the baby. Nicole wants to be a very hands-on mum and has shunned all offers of help. She has had hundreds of bouquets of flowers from well-wishers.

"Even Australia's Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, sent a hand-written note."

Meanwhile, Nicole is reportedly set to be planning a baptism for her new daughter, Sunday Rose, which will take place in her home city of Sydney, Australia in September.

NICOLE KIDMAN’s father has revealed all about his baby granddaughter SUNDAY ROSE’s name in the Australian media.
Little Sunday was born in Nashville, Tennessee on Monday (07Jul08) and Antony Kidman insists his daughter and son-in-law Keith Urban didn’t get their days mixed up.
He explains his actress daughter has always loved the name Sunday after studying up on early 20th-century artist’s muse Sunday Reed, and the baby’s middle name, Rose, is a tribute to Urban’s late grandmother.

Kidman’s proud father tells the Sydney Daily Telegraph, "I have read a bit about Sunday Reed… She was a key mover and shaker in the arts around the beginning of the century.

"The name Sunday struck me as being a nice name for a woman, so my wife and I mentioned it." In January (08), Kidman and Urban reportedly visited an exhibition by artist Sidney Nolan, who used Reed as his muse.

Antony Kidman claims the couple was inspired by a Nolan quote scrawled across a wall at the art show: "When you are young you are given a good view of life, because of your closeness to birth."

Expectant parents Nicole Kidman and hubby Keith Urban relaxed and enjoyed the facilities today at the only licensed swimming club in the world which boasts a panoramic view of Bondi Beach.

The old married couple is expecting their first child and it appears they’ve hired extra security to protect Nicole.

The 40-year-old actress is said to be worried something could happen while her hubby is away on tour. Says a source: “Nicole is a nervous wreck. Because she’s suffered a miscarriage and an ectopic pregnancy in the past, she’s terrified of losing her baby.”

Nicole is also said to be struggling with sleep. “She feels emotionally fragile. Her hormones are running wild and she’s suffering from insomnia.”

Hope this outing offers the mum-to-be some much needed R&R!

Kidman's Bodyguard Attacks Paparazzi

"The physical assault stemmed from an incident on Wednesday, when a fellow photographer was attacked by Nicole's rambo-like trainer while the 53 year old photog was snapping Nicole and her trainer hiking. The trainer stole the guy's camera which thankfully, was later returned.

Then on Thursday, our Flynet photog Jeremy and his 53 year old paparazzi friend were once again following Nicole Kidman and her bodyguard as they were making their way to the gym. The vehicle they were in stopped and the bodyguard stepped out, obviously in an agressive manner. Jeremy pulled out his video camera, hoping to quiz the bodyguard about the incident on Wednesday but as you can see from the clip, the bodyguard was in no mood to chat. Jeremy stepped back inside of his vehicle but that didn't stop the bodyguard from attacking him anyway!

Afterwards, Nicole Kidman left along with her crazed bodyguard and Jeremy tried to follow them but eventually had to dial 911 because of his injuries. The police are currently investigating the incident.

Now I know the paparazzi can be annoying, but do they deserve a physical assault of this magnitude?"

Nicole Kidman is pregnant.

The 40-year-old actress and her country singer husband Keith Urban - who married in June 2006 - confirmed they are expecting their first child together.

Nicole's representative Catherine Olim revealed yesterday (07.01.08): "The couple are thrilled."

It was reported this week the Oscar-winning actress has pulled out of post-World War II Germany drama 'The Reader' - which she was supposed to start filming in Berlin with Ralph Fiennes this month - as she is worried undue stress may harm her unborn baby.

Matthew Frankel, a spokesman for the Weinstein Company who are producing the film, denied the actress has quit the movie, saying: "I am being told that the status on 'The Reader' has not changed."

Nicole - who has suffered miscarriages in the past - already has two adopted children with her ex-husband Tom Cruise - Isabella, 15, and Connor, 12.

She has made no secret of the fact she would like a child of her own, saying recently: "I love babies. I would say it's in God's hands. If God wills it, it will happen, right?"

Tommy Boy is second in command of the Church of Scientology, a new book has sensationally claimed.

The Hollywood actor, who is a devout follower of the controversial sc-fi cult, is allegedly consulted by the religion's leader David Miscavige on "every aspect of policy".

Fantasy movie THE GOLDEN COMPASS has shot straight to the top of the U.S. box-office chart, ending ENCHANTED’s fairytale two-week stay at number one over the weekend (07-08Dec07).

The Golden Compass, which stars Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig, debuts in pole position with $26.1 million (£13.05 million).

Disney film Enchanted drops a place to two with $10.7 million (£5.35 million), while seasonal movies This Christmas and Fred Claus are at numbers three and four with $5 million (£2.5 million) and $4.7 million (£2.35 million) respectively.

You know, it’s confusing — Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman continue to make flop after flop yet are still on the A-list making huge salaries. When is a brotha like Morgan Freeman gonna get the recognition (and matching pay check) that he so richly deserves?!

Nicole Kidman Loses Alien Baby - TWICE!!!!

Nicole Kidman has stretched the bounds of credibility tighter than the skin on her face by claiming that Tom Cruise got her pregnant not once, but twice during their 11-year marriage.

To add insult to injury, she also told Vanity Fair magazine she had "no regrets" about her marriage, which is a bit like David Gest saying the whole Liza Minnelli thing was "a bit of a giggle".

Kidman has said she became pregnant in the early years of the marriage and again shortly after divorce proceedings began. Neither pregnancies worked out, perhaps due to unhealthy levels of Engrams in her non-Scientologist body.

It does explain why Tom's film roles dropped dramatically during those years, however. It takes a long time in the laboratory, mixing test tubes and casting spells, sorry, saying prayers over bubbling cauldrons, to impregnate a woman who isn't even in the same house.

The source adds that when Katie asks Lee Anne about the shoes, she says she doesn’t know what Katie’s talking about. “But Katie doesn’t call Tom out on it - she just shrugs and says, ‘Well, he’s given me another reason to go shopping for another pair!’”

"Nicole and Keith are having a baby," reveals an overjoyed friend. "They've been riding on clouds since they got the news. Nicole's been hoping for this since the day they got married. Everyone knows how she's been aching to have a baby. It's all she's been talking about for ages."
