Wizards of Waverly Place star Selena Gomez is under strict orders from bosses at Disney to keep her flourishing romance with Twilight hottie Taylor Lautner under wraps.
According to a report featured in the June 29 edition of Star Magazine, Disney execs are going out of their way to ensure that they don't end up with another troubled child star on their hands.
Disney execs have asked Selena to deny reports that she is dating Taylor because they fear the relationship will destroy her image — and lead to a ratings nightmare for Wizards of Waverly Place.
“The network doesn’t want parents to get the wrong idea and stop their kids from watching Selena’s show.”
As a result, Selena has been “forced to downplay the relationship even though she’s crazy about him,” reveals a source.
A Star insider says: “Disney wants all its stars to be wholesome and execs told Selena to deny she’s dating Taylor because that might taint her squeaky clean image. She can be ‘friends’ with him, but nothing more than that.”

After months of Taylor's talking about his bulk-up to play a hunkier Jacob Black, the fruit of his efforts were teased in the unveiling of New Moon's first trailer at the MTV Movie Awards.
His hard work has paid off and then some--the 17-year-old is in serious heartthrob shape. Take a look at Lautner's body evolution, from the tween time of action sidekick to the bulky up brooding of his current werewolf character.

Unlike cold-blooded neck biters, these poster guys for animal magnetism are hot. So hot that their temperature runs a steady 108 degrees, as anyone who has read Stephenie Meyer's series of gothic romances knows.
That gives them a great excuse to doff their shirts on-screen and expose the physiques they've been pumping up for playing werewolves in The Twilight Saga:New Moon, the sequel to last year's supernatural sensation, due Nov. 20.
Four actors — Chaske Spencer, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon and Bronson Pelletier, all with Native American heritage — join Taylor Lautner, 17, who returns as a hairier, scarier Jacob Black. The plotline finds Jacob growing closer to a distraught Bella (Kristen Stewart) after her vampire beau, Edward, runs off.
Among wolf pack job requirements: the ability to work half-naked no matter what the weather in the Vancouver, B.C., area, where the film has been shooting for several weeks.
"It's not pleasant for the actors," says director Chris Weitz. "But they have all been good-natured. They show up on location in drenching, cold rain, and I say, 'OK, off with the robes.' "
