David Beckham and Actor?

The former England captain agreed a staggering £128 million deal to join the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer club last week and the revered designer is convinced it is because the sports star wants to make it big in Hollywood.

Armani said: ""If the reports are true, then he has done the right thing.

And I think he wants to be an actor, not a soccer player." Armani is convinced David, 31, and his wife Victoria, 32, will be a big hit in the US, because they have the good looks and the star quality needed to make it Stateside.

Speaking at a Milan fashion show on Monday (15.01.07), he said "He is a very handsome man, and his soccer career could be nearing an end. And look at his wife. I saw her at Tom Cruise's wedding, she is a very bubbly lady." David, who is due to move to Los Angeles in June when his contract with current club Real Madrid comes to an end, had a small cameo role in the soccer film 'Goal!', in which he played himself.
