The Hiltons Are In Denial

Nicky Hilton broke down in “hysterics” after visiting older sis Paris in prison on Sunday.

The young socliate-cum-designer admits she was devastated to see her fashion-loving sibling being forced to wear an orange prison jumpsuit. She tells People, “It’s sad. It’s like right out of the movies.”

Matriarch of the family Kathy Hilton adds, “It’s tough. It is. It’s just one hour a week: 30 minutes on Sunday and 30 minutes on Tuesday. We talk through glass. And this one (Nicky) left in hysterics. Nicky tried to keep the brave face but - I never see Nicky cry.”

Nicky believes her sister has been unfairly treated by Los Angeles authorities and wishes the media would stop wrongly reporting that a drink driving conviction was the reason for her jail term.

She rants, “What’s annoying is all these people are going on television saying that she was drinking and driving. She’s not in jail for DUI (driving under the influence). That’s a big misconception. She’s in jail for driving on a suspended license, just like the D.A.’s (District Attorney) wife was. She got a $186 fine.”

Good story, but Nicky seems to forget that the conditions of Paris’ probation were that 1) she was not to drive, and 2) that she attend alcohol counseling. She not only violated the first stipulation, not once, but twice, but also failed to complete stipulation #2, and violating parole, not once, not twice, but three times is grounds for having your probation revoked and a sentence of prison time be handed down. Paris wasn’t sentenced to jail because she’s a celebrity. She was sentenced to jail because she snubbed her nose at the law by drinking and driving, ignoring the grounds of her probation, and then blaming everyone but herself. There comes a point in a person’s life when you have to accept responsibility for your actions, even if you’re a snotty, egotistical, vain, pretentious, pathological person such as Paris, and hopefully, being cavity searched and forced to suffer the “degradation” of being treated like someone who can’t buy off the Sheriff will do that.
