Howard K. Stern testified today at the inquest into the death of Anna Nicole's son, Daniel.

Stern said he had no idea Daniel was taking any kind of prescription medication, including Methadone. Stern said from September 2005 until June 2006, he wasn't even around as much because he was working full time on Anna's fight with Pierce Marshall.

Stern said there was no duffel bag full of medication at the hospital where Daniel died. He said neither he nor Anna brought any medication into the hospital. As for Stern giving Daniel Methadone, he said absolutely not.

Stern said when he first learned that the toxicology report said that Methadone or any other medication was in Daniel's system, he didn't believe it.

Stern also talked about the photo he took in the hospital room of Anna with Daniel after he died. He said Anna would not believe Daniel had died and she wanted to bring Daniel home with her. Stern testified Anna wanted him to take a photo because she couldn't accept Daniel was dead and needed the photo for proof. Stern said he took the photo, never made money off it and would do it again.

Stern testified he was asleep when an agitated Anna said, "Howard, Howard, Daniel's not breathing." Stern said he went over and touched Daniel's neck but found no pulse. They pushed the emergency button, workers came in the room to resuscitate him, to no avail. They tried to physically remove Anna but she would not break away. After the doctors stopped, both Stern and Anna continued resuscitation efforts.

Stern said he never gave Daniel drugs nor did he ever see Anna give him drugs.

Stern said Anna had been prescribed Methadone and when she realized she was pregnant -- on doctor's advice -- she reduced the dosage, but was told if she stopped cold turkey she'd lose the baby. By the time she gave birth, Stern says, she was off Methadone entirely.

Daniel Smith Did Drugs

It’s been over a year since the deaths of Anna Nicole Smith and her son, Daniel, but somehow the family remains in the news. This time, Larry Birkhead testified in the Bahamas during the inquest involving Daniel’s sudden death in September 2006.

Birkhead testified that in April 2006, Anna realized some of her Methadone was missing in her Studio City home. Birkhead said Anna had surveillance cameras in the house, checked them and found video proof that Daniel and his buddies were the culprits.

While Birkhead was under oath, he was asked about statements he made to the cops back in 2006, when he was at war with Anna. He had told police he saw Howard K. Stern smoke pot with Anna and Daniel. During his testimony, Birkhead said he was not completely clear on what he saw.

Birkhead said Daniel’s personality completely changed between January 2006 and May. He saw Daniel throw a TV through a window. Daniel often stayed out all night long and Anna was worried.

Larry then went on to pose with baby Danielynn on the witness stand and sold the pictures to OK! magazine.

Daniel Smith died from a drug overdose three days after his mother gave birth to baby daughter Dannielynn in September 2006. He was 20.
G. Ben Thompson, former companion of Anna Nicole told the inquest into Daniel’s death in Bahamian capital of Nassau that Stern said the photographs "might be worth some money one day." Thompson told the inquest, "I was totally shocked he was taking pictures of a dead child laying in that bed.

Stern’s attorney Shaka Serville hit back at the claims - insisting he took the photographs of Daniel’s body to prove to Anna Nicole that her son was dead.

Witnesses have already testified that the late glamour model was highly distraught after his collapse.

Meanwhile, Thompson’s son Gayther, alleges Stern appeared to dispose of two white pills he had found in Daniel’s clothes after his collapse in the hospital room.

Testimony in the inquest was adjourned on Wednesday (30Jan08) until 17 March while court officials seek testimony from witnesses including Anna Nicole’s ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead. Police investigating Daniel’s death have said there is no evidence of homicide, and an autopsy found the likely cause was a combination of drugs, including methadone and antidepressants.

Lethal Drug Combo Killed Daniel Smith

The late son of reality TV star Anna Nicole Smith was killed by a combination of methadone and the antidepressants Zoloft and Lexapro — a cocktail that would have turned lethal after about five hours — a pathologist testified Monday.

The conclusion by Dr. Govinda Raju, who performed the official autopsy on Daniel Smith, confirms the findings of a private doctor who examined the 20-year-old's body after he died Sept. 10, 2006 in the Bahamas.

On the third day of an inquest into Smith's death, Raju said the young man had five other drugs in his system — including two that medical personnel used in an attempt to revive him after he collapsed while visiting his celebrity mother at a Nassau hospital.

Daniel Smith Might Get Justice After All

It was announced today that the official inquest into the mysterious death of Anna Nicole Smith's son Daniel will finally begin in the Bahamas on Oct. 30 — 14 months after he was found dead on Sept. 10, 2006, in the same hospital where Anna had given birth to daughter Dannielynn only days earlier.

"At last we might finally get to the bottom of what happened to my grandson that night," Anna Nicole's mother, Virgie Arthur, told reporters. "I just pray that we discover the truth about exactly how and why a fit and healthy 20-year-old boy died. I plan to be there every day to hear for myself what really happened."

An initial autopsy of Daniel identified a number of drugs — everything from antidepressants to lethal amounts of methadone — in his system at the time of his death. However, the question remains to be answered as to exactly how, when and why he used these drugs.

Flowers For Daniel

Stern gave TMZ the following statement: "I visited Anna and Daniel twice yesterday under the cover of darkness because I did not want the media to capture my private moments with loved ones. In the early morning, I brought two baskets of flowers from Dannielynn, myself, and others. When I visited again late at night, I found plastic flowers drilled into the ground next to our flowers.

I did not want to take pictures or release any statement concerning my visits. However, Anna's birth mother brought Splash News with her to the cemetery (or was it the other way around?) and then claimed in an interview that nobody visited Anna and Daniel.

Unfortunately, I have learned to anticipate this type of exploitative expression of alleged love and took the necessary precautions. I sincerely hope that Splash News has the decency not to make this a pattern for all future anniversaries, birthdays, and holidays.

Anna Nicole Smith's Final Movie

Just when you thought it was over.....

I think I just read somewhere yesterday that Anna Nicole's movie "Illegal Aliens" will be shown in Cannes.... let me get back to you guys on this....

Anyways, "Illegal Alien" is coming out on May 1 on DVD. Supposedly Anna Nicole's role is a self parody.

"Eating her own image, that's what she does in the movie," said David Giancola, director of "Illegal Aliens," on which Smith was a producer and her late son, Daniel Smith, was associate producer. "She really wanted people to laugh. Anna and Daniel wanted to make a movie that satirized Hollywood and ourselves to a great extent."

And You Thought We're Done With Anna Nicole Smith

An inquest into the death of ANNA NICOLE SMITH's son DANIEL will reconvene next month (22May07) in the Bahamas after officials agreed to allow the tragic model's companion, HOWARD K. STERN, to appeal the jury selection in the case.

During a brief hearing yesterday (12APR07), Stern asked that his attorneys be allowed to submit a questionnaire for the jury screening process.

His legal team has argued that it is no longer possible to secure an impartial jury, due to the publicity surrounding the deaths of Anna Nicole and her son.

Meanwhile, witnesses for the inquest have been announced and they will include the late Anna Nicole, who will be represented posthumously, and a nurse who claims she noticed a methadone pill on the bed where Daniel died.

Stern has also been summoned, as has photographer Larry Birkhead, who was named the biological father of Anna Nicole's baby girl Dannielynn on Tuesday (10Apr07).

Daniel Smith was 20 when he died from a lethal combination of Lexapro, Zoloft and methadone while visiting his mother and newborn sister in the Bahamas last September (07).

Now An Inquest On Daniel's Death

TMZ reports:

The inquest into the death of Anna Nicole Smith's son has officially just begun.

Howard K. Stern's attorney challenged the use of a jury to hear the case. The jury can recommend criminal prosecution if they believe Daniel's death was a homicide.

We're told hospital employees will be among the first witnesses, however, Larry Birkhead is scheduled to testify today or tomorrow. TMZ knows that Birkhead was aware of Daniel's drug use while he lived in Los Angeles. Birkhead will also testify that Stern and Anna Nicole knew that Daniel had a drug problem.

Daniel died as a result of a methadone cocktail just days after his mom gave birth to Dannielynn. The key to the inquest is exactly how Daniel got hold of the drugs that killed him.

Anna Nicole Is Bahamas Bound

Richard Milstein, guardian of Dannielynn has announced that Anna Nicole Smith will be buried in the Bahamas next to her son, Daniel.

Worm Food Saga Continues

With the court in recess fo lunch until 2:30pm, the highlights are as follows:

01) Howard K Stern is still singing the same song. You know..."she was my whole world, everything to me. She was my lover."

Aside from the "lover" thing.... a cash cow is everything to someone like Howard K Stern....

02) Anna Nicole wants to be buried near Marilyn Monroe in Los Angeles but it was just expensive.

I bet Howard talked Anna Nicole out of this one. Whey waste the money, right Howard?

03) Anna Nicole knew that she was going to die young.

Well, I guess it's call premonition/intuition/female instinct/whatever..... but then again, she was with Howard and probably in one of those split moments between getting wasted/drugged, she must have realized what was really happening between her and Howard.

04) Stern also told the court the Anna's second husband J. Howard Marshall was "truly, truly love of her life."

I guess Howard is trying to secure whatever inheritance she was to get and perhaps hoping that the Marshall family will take pity on Anna Nicole's daughter and just give her the $.5 billion dollars.

05) Anna Nicole is "afraid of bugs" and didn't want to be worm food.

06) Stern also said that Daniel didn't wear a suit in his coffin and that Anna Nicole "wanted to crawl" into the coffin with Daniel at his funeral.

Anna Nicole's Burial Plan

The grave of Anna Nicole Smith's son Daniel is set to be opened up so the tragic actress/model can be buried on top of him. If Smith's companion, Howard K. Stern, wins his battle to bury his late girlfriend, he will take the remains to The Bahamas, where he lived with Anna Nicole up to her death in Florida last week.

He insists Smith wanted to be buried on a plot near her son, who died of a drug overdose last September, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens & Mausoleums, on Nassau. But due to space restrictions at the cemetery, gravediggers will be told to bury Anna Nicole on top of her son. One cemetery source says, "It is not uncommon to do this."

LA "Yes", Florida "No" and Bahamas "Stay"... Oh Dear!!!

Judges on both coasts weighed in Wednesday on what to do with Anna Nicole Smith's body amid the custody dispute over her infant daughter, moving closer to releasing the former Playboy Playmate's body for burial.

A Florida judge, citing a California court's order last week for DNA testing on Smith's body, ordered a morgue not to release it.

A Los Angeles judge, however, quickly lifted a request that the body be held.

"California has no need for the body of Anna Nicole," said James Neavitt, an attorney for Howard K. Stern, one of several men claiming paternity of 5-month-old Dannielynn.

Birkhead asked the Florida court Tuesday to enforce the California court order for DNA testing filed Friday, the day after Smith died. Nancy Hass, an attorney for Birkhead, said the Birkhead camp feared that accurate DNA testing would not be possible if the body were released and moved out of state.

Smith's mother, Vergie Arthur, and Stern had been opposing last week's decision by the Los Angeles judge, fearing that if the body is not embalmed, even though it is refrigerated, it will not be suitable for viewing or funeral purposes.

"We would just want ... to proceed with a proper burial," Ron Rale, the attorney who had represented Smith in the California paternity battle, said before the hearing in Los Angeles.

"No one should go about touching Anna Nicole," Rale said.

Krista Barth, another lawyer for Stern, said Smith made it clear she wanted to be buried in the Bahamas, where her son is buried, and condemned what she said were Arthur's efforts to bury her daughter's body in Texas.

"I think we all know Anna wants to be next to Daniel, and anything else is a tragedy," Barth said.

A Bahamian judge issued an injunction Tuesday preventing the baby from being taken out of the country until the custody case is resolved. Arthur wants to be named guardian of her granddaughter and sought the order because she feared Stern would take the child from the Bahamas, her lawyer said Wednesday.

Arthur has said she fears for the baby's safety, noting Stern was present when Smith died and when Smith's son died in the Bahamas in September, three days after Dannielynn was born. Stern has said Smith hated her mother.

Illegal Drugs In Anna Nicole's Hotel Room

(CBS4) HOLLYWOOD WCBS 2 in New York has learned that while searching Anna Nicole Smith's hotel room late Thursday afternoon, investigators found two key pieces of evidence -- illegal narcotics and prescription medications.

Now, a toxicology report will determine whether one of these drugs or a combination of both substances contributed to her death. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday morning in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Smith collapsed shortly after 1:30 p.m. in the sixth floor, two-room suite at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Gary Bitner, a spokesman for the Seminole Tribe of Florida which owns the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, said a hotel bodyguard apparently made the call to 911 which brought paramedics rushing to the suite.

CBS4’s Ted Scouten reported Smith, who has been staying at the hotel with partner Howard K. Stern since Monday, was in the room with a nurse when she started to experience ‘difficulty’. The nurse reportedly called Memorial Hospital directly, and while she was on the phone, Smith’s bodyguard entered the room and began to perform CPR.

NASSAU (Reuters) - A Bahamas law firm says it is suing former Playboy Playmate and oil heiress Anna Nicole Smith for unpaid legal fees of $113,000.
Callenders, based in Nassau, secured an injunction from the Bahamas Supreme Court forbidding Smith to reduce the balance in her local bank accounts below $125,000.

Attorney Tracy Ferguson said Smith had repeatedly failed to pay fees due her company.

"We are determined to pursue this. We will be paid. Ms. Smith now needs to respond to this and stop being evasive," the Nassau Tribune newspaper quoted Ferguson as saying on Friday.

An attorney for Smith could not be reached for comment.

Howard K Stern Killed Anna Nicole's Son?

NASSAU, Bahamas — Anna Nicole Smith's romantic partner, longtime lawyer and alleged father of her infant daughter provided her son with one of the drugs that killed him — then tried to cover it up by flushing the remaining pills down the toilet, a report says.

The charges surfaced Monday as Bahamian officials agreed to conduct a formal inquest into the death of 20-year-old Daniel Smith in his mother's hospital room there in September, sources told the celebrity Web site TMZ.com.

More than 20 witnesses will be called to testify, including one who allegedly insists that Howard K. Stern gave Daniel methadone before he died.

Stern was in the room at the time of Daniel's death.

Methadone is one of at least three drugs that made up the lethal cocktail that led to Daniel's heart attack, according to an autopsy report.

The same witness also will tell officials that after Daniel's death, Stern flushed the remaining methadone down the toilet, TMZ reported.

Howard K Stern Possibly Killed Daniel Smith?

TMZ Reports:

The Coroner in the Bahamas will conduct a formal inquest into the death of Anna Nicole Smith's son. TMZ has learned one of the witnesses will testify that Howard K. Stern gave Anna's son one of the drugs that killed him.

The inquest will be held on March 26. We're told more than 20 witnesses will be called, including Smith and Stern. A source in the coroner's office says one of the witnesses will testify that Stern allegedly gave Daniel methadone. And we're told that the witness will testify that Stern flushed the remaining methadone down the toilet after Daniel died.

Daniel was found dead in the hospital room in which Anna Nicole had given birth. He had a combination of seven drugs in his system, including multiple anti-depressants and methadone.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the police have interviewed both Anna Nicole Smith and Howard K. Stern in connection with Daniel's death.

The Coroner made a quick decision to hold the inquiry after getting the police file on the case last Friday.

A call to Stern was not immediately returned.

Here We Go Again... Anna Nicole Smith

TMZ Reported that Anna Nicole's true baby daddy is Larry Birkhead. In a sealed court documents filed, a woman, Laurie Payne, who spent considerable time with Anna Nicole during he pregnancy said that she confessed to her in phone calls and instant messages that Larry Birkhead is the father of her baby girl.

Payne also said that Smith also told her that she had a miscarriage prior to Dannielynn, also fathered by Birkhead.

Payne alleges in her declaration that Anna Nicole was taking methadone and Xanax in May, 2006, during her pregnancy. She says that she actually administered pills to Smith from a bottle marked "Methadone" and that she "personally observed" Smith taking "a rather high dose of Xanax" around the same time. Smith's son Daniel is believed to have had a lethal combination of methadone, in addition to prescription anti-depressants in his system when he died Sept. 10.

As for Howard K. Stern, Smith's lawyer who is listed as the baby's father on her birth certificate, Payne says Anna Nicole Smith herself said he wasn't the father. Payne says in her declaration: "I asked her why she did not just go into a relationship with Stern, to which (Anna Nicole) responded, 'EWWW...GROSS!!! No way!! I would never!'"

According to the declaration, during Christmas, 2005, Stern began to tease Anna Nicole's son Daniel "about being a 19-year-old virgin." Payne says, "....Daniel looked at Stern and stated, 'I don't know why you're worried about me, you've been around my mother for 12 years and haven't had any p*ssy either."

I swear this will be the last time I post anything about her and her continuing drama.... it's like enough already!!!!! I still think some killed Daniel.
