Kylie Minogue was shocked and surprised when she discovered a fan backstage crying into one of her wigs.

The mystery man found his way into her dressing room while the singer was performing at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday.

He is believed to have gained entry after convincing security guards he was her stylist, reports the Daily Star.

But kind-hearted Kylie, 40, refused to let minders call the police.

She’s said to have posed for a picture with the fan before he left peacefully.

Kylie Minogue kicked off her long-awaited tour last night (06.05.08) with ex-boyfriend Olivier Martinez in the audience.

The French actor - who split from the singer in February 2007 - joined 10,000 fans at Paris' Bercy Stadium, in France, at the opening night of 'KylieX2008'.

An onlooker said: "Olivier looked on very proudly as Kylie wowed fans with the show, which was spectacular."

Kylie - who recently denied claims she had rekindled her romance with Olivier, insisting they were just friends - opened the show above the stage in a full-length purple gown amid green wires in a gold hoop as she performed 'Speakerphone' from her latest album 'X'.

As well as singing a host of her classic hits including 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' and 'Step Back In Time', the Australian beauty thrilled the crowd with her own version of Barry Manilow's 'Copacabana'.

The tour has cost over £10 million to stage and includes 53 dates across Europe, concluding with a six-night residency at London's O2 arena ending in August.

It is her first full tour since being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005.

Kylie Minogue's latest bid to crack the US has flopped.

The 'Wow' singer released her 10th studio album 'X' in America on April 1, but it has sold just 5,500 copies and limped into the Billboard chart at number 139.

A source said: "She'll be very disappointed not even to make it into the top 100."

The 39-year-old star - who has enjoyed huge success throughout the rest of the world - launched a major charm offensive in a bid to succeed Stateside this month and appeared on several high-profile TV shows.

She performed her new single 'All I See' in a raunchy bondage-style outfit on 'Dancing with the Stars' and told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres her breast cancer had initially been misdiagnosed by doctors.

But Kylie has admitted cracking America is a daunting task.

She said: "It's a notoriously difficult market. To know where I fit is very difficult."

Kylie Minogue has reunited with ex-lover Olivier Martinez.

Kylie, who split from the French actor last year following reports he was unfaithful, enjoyed two romantic days with Olivier in Paris last week and is thrilled the pair are giving their relationship another chance.

A source said: "Kylie always said Olivier was the love of her life. They looked so happy to be back together as they strolled along the banks of the river Seine. They were pouring their hearts out to each other and looked very intimate and comfortable."

Australian pop star KYLIE MINOGUE has denied rekindling her relationship with French actor OLIVIER MARTINEZ - insisting she can’t even be friends with him.

The couple sparked rumours that they were back together after the star was spotted visiting Martinez’s French home during the summer (07). But Minogue is adamant she was only in Paris to see the couple’s pets - and has no plans to spend any time with her ex.

She says, "I saw him in Paris because that’s where my dogs are. But we are not back together and I think he has another girlfriend.

The Aussie songbird wowed Chinese crowds who lined the red carpet orderly to grab a glimpse of the singing sensation.

Kylie Minogue has reportedly cleared out all of Olivier Martinez’s belongings from her homes in London and Sydney and sent them by courier to him in Los Angeles - and included some gifts he’d given her over their four years together too.

“She has FedEx-ed all his property to Los Angeles, where he is staying. What has gone back includes an antique pair of diamond earrings and a friendship ring he gave her.”

“Also couriered were all of his clothes and personal belongings .. his aftershave, moisturiser, all the books and records and CDs they bought together in flea markets in Paris while Kylie was in recovery and other things like film scripts he left behind.”

Martinez's Mum Still Loves Minogue

OLIVIER MARTINEZ's mother was devastated when she found out her son had split from longtime girlfriend KYLIE MINOGUE because it was like losing a daughter.

Minogue, 38, and Martinez, 41, recently announced they were ending their romance after nearly four years together.

Martinez's mother, ROSEMARY, says, "It's very sad. Kylie was like a daughter to us. Olivier is upset."

A source tells Us Weekly magazine, "They fell out of love. They'd argue whenever they saw each other."

Another source adds, "It was complicated. They had been trying to end it for a long time."

Kylie Minogue put her recent break-up behind her to launch a London exhibition dedicated to her last night (06.02.07).

The pop princess arrived in a stunning purple Grecian-style Dolce and Gabbana dress to open a retrospective of her showbiz outfits, 'Kylie - The Exhibition', at the Victoria and Albert Museum, in South Kensington.

Kylie, 38, avoided questions about her recent split from long-term love Olivier Martinez, saying, "I'm here, it's all good".

One onlooker told BANG Showbiz: "She looked absolutely amazing and was smiling from ear-to-ear. She was thoroughly enjoying herself and even danced to her own hit songs as she passed through the exhibition."

The exhibition features a timeline of Kylie's iconic outfits, from the mechanic overalls she wore as Charlene in Australian soap 'Neighbours' to the famous gold hotpants she wore for her 2000 'Spinning Around' video. The revealing hooded white jumpsuit from her 2001 'I Can't Get You Out Of My Head' video is also a highlight.

The pop princess decided to cut her losses and end their relationship after pictures of Martinez spending time with other women were printed in a number of newspapers in recent months.

"Although Olivier denies he was cheating, she was becoming paranoid and feels she has lost all trust. Her cancer ordeal taught her that life is too short to waste on bad feelings and they spent too much time arguing."

Kylie is ignoring warnings from doctors to take a break from showbiz, it has been reported.

A source told the Sunday Mirror that the singer's medical team advised her to rest up and complete her recovery from breast cancer. She has insisted on launching into her Showgirl Homecoming tour, however.

Last week she had to cancel a gig half way through the performance after falling ill, prompting concerns that she was struggling with her schedule.

"We all love Kylie. She is a very nice, caring person," said the source. "But she seems to be ignoring medical advice time and time again.

"She should be nurturing herself, looking after number one. Instead she changes her plans at the last minute to fly halfway round the world. The harsh fact is she's not out of the woods yet, and she cannot keep up this pace much longer."

Kylie Minogue has added an extra date to her tour after cutting short a concert last Saturday (13.01.07).

Fans of the 'Spinning Around' singer - who halted her performance in Manchester's MEN Arena because of flu - can now use their tickets to attend another show next Tuesday (23.01.07).

Kylie said: "I would like to apologise to those who attended last Saturday night's show. I was hoping to feel better as the day went on but, unfortunately, the opposite was true. I'm sorry for all those who were inconvenienced by the postponements."

The diminutive singer's actions last Saturday sparked concern among her family and friends who believe she is trying to do too much too soon after winning her battle with breast cancer last year.

A source said: "It's awoken some of our worst fears again. There are definite concerns she has taken on too much and can't cope with this pace.

"Everyone gets flu from time to time. But during the initial months after beating cancer, it's vital to keep well."

Olivier Martinez - who was described by Kylie as "the most honourable man I've met" during her illness - insists he did everything he possibly could for his lover.

He told Cosmopolitan magazine: "I didn't think about myself at the time. All I did was try my best in the situation. It's important to be honest with yourself. What you say should be what you do. Don't just say, 'I love you'. Show it."

The 41-year-old French star has also revealed his attitude towards death changed when he was involved in a horrific motorbike accident more than a decade ago.

He said: "I broke my back in a motorcycle accident and came close to dying.

Doctors told me I'd end up in a wheelchair but I was lucky. The accident helped me learn the true price of life. It put everything in perspective - money, fame. However, I'm no longer afraid of dying, I'm afraid of suffering."
