Another Six Months In Rehab For Lane Garrison

Lane Garrison, looking paler and thinner, is out of prison and on his way to rehab where he will be locked up for another six months. In 2007 Lane was sentenced to 3 years and four months in prison for a drunk driving accident that left one boy dead and two teen girls injured. While he was incarcerated, Lane took college courses, studying Spanish and business, and he was a model of good behavior. After rehab, he'll be on probation for four years. Will Lane, who ironically appeared on "Prison Break," still have a career in Hollywood?

Lane Garrison To Be A Free Man Soon???

Former actor from Prison Break, Lane Garrison might quite possibly find himself a free man come May. Garrison is set to be released from jail after serving about half of his 40-month sentence following his tragic 2006 DUI car crash.

A lessening of Garrison's sentence comes after his participation in rehab while serving his time. A spokeswoman for California Dept. of Corrections and Rehabilitation said in a statement, "He received half time--meaning that for every day that he participated in a rehabilitative program, he got a day off his sentence."

Although the TV star's actual release date hasn't been confirmed, In Touch claims claims he'll be walking out of the facility April 29.

Lane Garrison Will Always Be Close To My Heart

Remember Lane Garrison??? He's the cutie from Prison Break Season 1 who's in jail now for killing a couple of kids when he was drunk driving.... well anyways, he wrote a letter to Access Hollywood:

“Greetings and Happy New Year to you and everyone at Access Hollywood from Donovan State Prison. Never did I think I would be saying the words ‘happy & prison’ in the same sentence and not be on a set. It’s pure irony coming from the show and now living the real deal. It’s surreal and mind-blowing to say the least.”

“Just this past Monday they let a group of inmates watch the season premiere of Prison Break. It felt like an out of body experience as I stood around a crowd of tattooed felons watching Michael Scofield try to escape … all of us longing to be free as well!”

“This has been the hardest year of my life. I hope people, young and old, are learning from my mistakes and what can happen when you drink and drive. I have much to say about the pain I’ve felt and seen inside of prison. It has been eye-opening and a harrowing experience.”

Jessica Simpson Has A Heart

JESSICA SIMPSON gave jailed actor LANE GARRISON something to smile about over Christmas (07) - she reportedly gifted the former PRISON BREAK star with a colour TV.

Garrison, who is serving a 40-month prison sentence for a drink driving accident that cost a teenage passenger his life, was granted access to a TV in his cell for good behaviour, but didn’t have the funds to buy one.

So Simpson, who grew up with Garrison, offered to buy her troubled friend the TV, according to In Touch Weekly magazine.

Will Lane Garrison Do A "Prison Break" ?

A judge has sentenced "Prison Break" star Lane Garrison to a total of forty months -- nearly four years -- in state prison for the drunk driving crash that caused the death of 17-year-old Vahagn Setian.

Before sentencing, a highly emotional Garrison told the victims' families he was "genuinely remorseful" and "sickened" by his behavior that night.

TMZ was in court as the judge told Garrison he will get credit for the 91 days he has already served. That, combined with California's Work Time/Good Time early release program, means he will likely be in state prison for about 20 months.

He must also pay close to $300,000 to the Setian family and to the two girls who were in the car.

Lane was quiet after the sentence was handed down and was taken away in handcuffs.

Give Lane Garrison A Break Already

Lane Garrison will be in court tomorrow for sentencing in the DUI accident that killed a Beverly Hills High student -- and the victim's friends and family are seeking the maximum penalty.

Friends of 17-year old Vahagn Setian were outside a Beverly Hills court today -- along with other students and a spokesperson for the Setian family -- to present 3,600 signatures to the judge, each demanding he be sentenced to serve six years and eight months for vehicular manslaughter, DUI and providing alcohol to a minor.

A student and close friend, Alexa, read a statement to the press, pleading, "To do anything else sends a terrible message to young people, the community and others who drink and drive."

Lane Garrison's Real "Prison Break" Story

The court drama continued yesterday for Lane Garrison and TMZ was there of course...

With Lane on the stand, his first words were:

"I relive that night every day, and I think about the bad decisions I made."
Addressing to the dead boy's parents, the Vahagns:

"All I can say to you is that I'm sorry. I tried to contact you every day. This PSA was not a publicity stunt"

"I don't want this to happen to anyone. We should think about our actions."

"We can't bring him back, but I'm sorry for my behavior that evening and that is not representative of who I am usually."

"I also want to apologize to my family and friends for putting them through this."

Anyways, Garrison's lawyer, Harland Braun, just told the judge there is evidence that his client may have unwittingly consumed a spike drink at the party when he accepted an orange drink that "tasted somewhat salty", possibly spiked with GHB.

Harland Braun told the judge:

"We don't have a country where people come in and accept responsibility. He at least came in here and didn't even plead not guilty".
Verdict?

Judge Elden Fox has set the stage for Lane Garrison to become a free man in 90 days.

The judge ordered Lane Garrison to go to state prison for 90 days, for shrinks and others to determine if he's a suitable candidate for straight probation.

The D.A. of course hated the decision and argued that he should get four years in prison.

As of last night, Lane Garrison was taken into L.A. County Shreiff's custody at the Beverly Hills Courthouse and booked.

Good luck Lane..... you're given a second chance, use it wisely my dear boy.

Lane Garrison Pleads Guilty

TMZ reports that Lane Garrison pleaded guilty during a very emotional court session.

He pleaded guilty to one count of vehicular manslaughter which is a felony and one count of felony DUI with bodily injury. He also admitted that his blood alcohol level was over .15 and this could increase his possible 5 years and 8 months in prison with another 8 months.

Garrison's high-powered lawyer, Harland Braun, tells TMZ absolutely no sentencing deal has been struck. Braun says, "Lane fully expects to go to prison or jail," adding, "it's very unusual for anyone in our society to accept responsibility for anything."

Hear that Paris?????

I feel bad for Lane...... perhaps he could also get a reduced sentence for good behavior.... like he did show up for court and admitted his wrong doings..... how about Lane serves 23-day and Paris 5 years and 8 months? Isn't that justice? Well to me it is.

Can't wait for June 5th.

Lucky is the guy who makes Lane his bitch in prison.... sadness for Lane....

Guess Who Might Be Slammer Bound?

There is an important development in the Lane Garrison case. The Beverly Hills police will conduct a news conference at 4:00 PM today. TMZ has now learned the police have sent the Garrison case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney for possible criminal prosecution. The D.A. must now decide whether to prosecute the "Prison Break" star for felony vehicular manslaughter.

Garrison's blood alcohol level has now been determined. Sources tell TMZ the actor's blood alcohol level was "high."

Garrison was behind the wheel when his Land Rover crashed into a tree in Beverly Hills on December 2, killing 17-year-old Vahagn Setian.

As TMZ first reported, Garrison met Setian and two 15-year-old girls hours before the crash. The teens invited the actor to a party. People who attended the party tell TMZ they saw Garrison drink between four and seven shots of Grey Goose vodka in a short period of time.

Garrison's high-powered celebrity defense lawyer, Harland Braun, tells TMZ his client was heading back to his apartment when the crash occurred.

More Troubles For Lane Garrison

HOLLYWOOD - Jessica Simpson's father and manager Joe has fired troubled Prison Break star Lane Garrison from his daughter's latest movie project.
Garrison was a troubled youth in Texas when he moved in with his family's minister--Joe Simpson.

Even though he is still close to the Simpson family, Joe had to let him go from the film because he was set to play a character who was continually drunk.

Simpson is currently filming Blonde Ambition with Luke Wilson in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Garrison was involved in a car crash earlier this month that killed Vahagn Setian, 17, and injured two other passengers.

Alcohol is thought to have been a factor in the crash.

This is the latest trouble that Garrison has faced. Just one week after the crash, someone stole his identity and wiped out his entire bank account.

Lane Knows He's In Trouble.....

.... and seeking a divine intervention.

TMZ Reports:

An emotional Lane Garrison was seen weeping and looking very distraught as he left a Los Angeles area church.

Garrison was the driver in a weekend accident that killed 17-year-old Vahagn Setian and seriously injured two other teens. He exited Good Shepherd Church in Beverly Hills with tears streaming down his face and his head in his hands.

The "Prison Break" actor showed up to the church at 11:30 Wednesday morning, spending 15 minutes inside before his tearful exit.

Must be awful to know that you killed someone or that you're responsible for his death.... honestly, I feel bad for him right now.

Lane Garrison And Grey Goose

TMZ has exclusively learned that Lane Garrison drank "several shots" of Grey Goose vodka at a party before driving a Land Rover that crashed in Beverly Hills, killing 17-year-old high school student Vahagn Setian and injuring two 15-year-old girls. This contradicts the account of Harland Braun, Garrison's attorney, who told TMZ that the "Prison Break" star had consumed only one drink
at the party, and that he doubted that Garrison was intoxicated when he took the wheel.

Five eyewitnesses from the party tell TMZ that Garrison arrived at the party with Setian and two women, whom he had met earlier at a gas station. They say Lane brought a bottle of Grey Goose vodka to the party and unveiled the bottle to the crowd with a flourish. The gathering was described by several attendees as a "kick back of around 30 people." The eyewitnesses, all acquaintances of Setian, say that Garrison then started taking shots of the vodka and offering shots to other partygoers. Several eyewitnesses also said photographs were taken of Garrison consuming alcohol.

Later in the evening, when the alcohol at the party was running low, the eyewitnesses say that Garrison agreed to drive out to buy more, and took Setian and two girls with him. Four hours elapsed, they say, before they became concerned and drove out to look for Garrison, Setian and the young women. After discovering the accident, they then drove to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where
they learned that Setian had died.

Attorney Harland Braun tells TMZ that ultimately the results of Garrison's blood alcohol test could tell the story. The results of that test are two weeks away.

Lane Garrison Goes To Prison

Okay not really or not yet....

TMZ has learned that "Prison Break" star Lane Garrison has hired powerhouse
defense attorney Harland Braun in connection with last Saturday's fatal car
accident.

Lane was at the wheel in his Land Rover on Saturday night when it crossed a median in Beverly Hills and crashed into a tree. A 17-year-old boy sitting in the backseat was killed and two 15-year-olds were injured. Braun tells TMZ that Garrison had never met the three teenagers before the night of the accident.

Braun says Garrison was at a local supermarket earlier in the evening when the trio recognized him in the checkout line and asked him if he wanted to go to a party. Braun says Garrison went to the party and had one drink. Braun says Garrison also had one margarita at a Mexican restaurant that night, but that was the extent of his alcohol consumption. Braun tells TMZ that as Garrison was
leaving the party to meet a woman at his apartment, the three teens asked to accompany him.

Braun says Garrison has no recollection of the accident, which Braun says rendered him unconscious. In fact, Braun claims Garrison's first memory was waking up at the Century City Hospital emergency room with a taxi coupon on his lap that had been given to him by hospital staff so he could get home. Braun says he was not told by hospital personnel that someone had died. He learned of
the death later from a friend, Braun says, and was "totally despondent."

Braun says a sample of Garrison's blood was taken at the hospital, but it could take several weeks before the results are in. Braun says he doubts Garrison was intoxicated, but also says, "Who knows if someone put something in his drink at the party."

Braun also says Garrison's Land Rover had been experiencing alignment issues as of late and had been pulling to one side, and added that the SUV had brake problems. Braun says he is forwarding repair receipts to the police.

According to Braun, "Nobody knows what happened, it's a mystery."

Okay, so a) What was he doing parting with those kids; or b) Could it be he was not only drunk but also high.
