Guess Who;s Going Back To E.R.

GEORGE CLOONEY has reportedly agreed to return to medical drama E.R. for the show’s final series.

The Oceans Eleven actor starred as Dr. Doug Ross from 1994 to 1999 in the long-running series before leaving to pursue his blossoming movie career.

But now the show is coming to an end after 15 seasons, Clooney has agreed to return for an unspecified number of episodes, according to People.com.

Clooney is reported to start filming his scenes on Thursday and Friday this week (22/23Jan09) on the Warner Bros. set in Los Angeles.

And he won’t be the only returning E.R. original - his former TV lover Julianna Margulies is also reportedly coming back for the final shows.

Insiders tell U.S. magazine Life & Style Margulies, who played Nurse Carol Hathaway during the show’s first six seasons, will be joining him on the set for one final episode.

The source says, "They are the last two of the original cast to make one last appearance. It’s part of an effort to wrap up all of the original characters’ storylines." George and Julianna’s episode is expected to air at the end of February (09).

The pair’s former castmates Eriq LaSalle, Noah Wyle and Anthony Edwards have already returned for episodes as the medical drama prepares for its final shows.

Show creator John Wells has revealed in this week’s TV Guide magazine he has had an offer to revive the show on America’s ABC network after the series ends on NBC. He admits the move is unlikely, but adds, "Never say never."

Bradley In Venice

If your a reporter and you're interviewing Brad Pitt, if you don't ask how the chosen ones are doing, a curse will be placed on you. I'm pretty sure of it. At a press conference for "Burn After Reading" in Venice, Brad was asked how the chosen ones are doing. He said, "The twins are fine." He then raised his glass of holy water, toasted and took a sip. Half of the room fainted.

When Brad said they were fine, he really meant, "They can speak 10 languages, they are on their way to finding the cure for cancer and they just qualified for the Olympics in 2012. They will compete in every single event."

George Clooney, who was also at the press conference, was asked the question he always gets asked. When is he going to get married and have kids? He said, "I am so surprised to hear that question. This honestly is the first time I've ever been asked that question. I'm getting married and having children today." Brad added, "And until then, I'll be sharing mine with him." Seriously, they should just get married to each other already.

George Clooney Is Single Again

Georgie Boy and his favorite Ho are so over, it was claimed by one of those magazines.

George Clooney has split from his girlfriend, it has been claimed.

The 47-year-old actor is said to be "relieved" he is a bachelor again, and felt his one-year relationship with 29-year-old Sarah Larson had reached its natural end.

A source told In Touch Weekly magazine: "George is relieved to be single again. He thinks Sarah is sweet and that is why it was so hard to break up with her. The truth is they had little in common and he just doesn't want to be tied down."

According to a friend of former Las Vegas cocktail waitress Sarah, the 'Leatherheads' actor briefly moved out of his Los Angeles home recently so Sarah removed her belongings.

The pair first met in Las Vegas four years ago when Sarah worked as a waitress in The Whiskey Bar. They were reunited last summer and soon began dating.

George and Sarah made their first public appearance at the Venice and Deauville film festivals last September.

George Clooney Hates Kids

George Clooney says seeing close friend Brad Pitt become a father has reminded him why he doesn't want children.

The 'Leatherheads' actor - who is dating former cocktail waitress Sarah Larson - revealed spending time with Brad and his four children with partner Angelina Jolie makes him "nervous".

He said: "Even one kid running around my villa makes me nervous, so I'm definitely not a candidate for father of the year!

"If I need to surround myself with children and feel like I have this big extended family, I can always call Brad and Angie and ask them to stay with me, just to remind me why I'm so happy without."

George, 46, also said he is unlikely to invite the celebrity couple to stay in his villa on Italy's Lake Como this summer because he doesn't have the room to accommodate their ever-expanding brood.

He added to Britain's Heat magazine: "I really don't have enough space for all their children. Also, Brad and Angelina need a security deal of about 20 guys wearing dark suits and carrying walkie-talkies, and that tends to attract attention."

George Clooney For Sainthood

George Clooney has donated $5.6 million to the United Nations peacekeeping force in war-torn Sudan, to enable the team to buy a fleet of helicopters.

The kind-hearted actor, who is a U.N. Messenger of Peace, has become a leading celebrity advocate for action against genocide in the Sudan after filming a documentary about the ongoing violence and refugee crisis there last year.

He has also set up the Not On Our Watch organization with his Ocean’s Thirteen castmates Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Don Cheadle - to help provide humanitarian aid in the region. But when Clooney learned of the plight of the U.N. peacekeeping force Unamid in Darfur, he immediately dug deep in his pocket to do something about it.

A source explains, “George was horrified by the Sudanese government’s ’scorched earth’ (bomb) attacks on western Darfur last month.

“And when he was told that Unamid officials felt they could have done something about the attacks if they’d had the right equipment - they need 18 helicopters and so far have none - he decided to put his money where his mouth is.”

Amy Wino Gets A Gig

AMY WINEHOUSE is on the verge of a massive career and financial boost courtesy of GEORGE CLOONEY and JULIA ROBERTS - who have been assigned to recruit the troubled singer for an exclusive New York event.

Party host and fashion designer Giorgio Armani has asked the Hollywood pair who are co-chairs at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute, where the event will be held on 5 May (08) - to offer the Back To Black star $1 million (£500,000) to perform.
A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "Giorgio has made it no secret to his friends that he would love to work with Amy.

"He sees this party as an ideal opportunity to sound her out about future projects together." Winehouse has been absent from the live circuit in recent months - in November (07) she quit her British tour, and in January (08) she was admitted to rehab amid reports her drug taking had spiralled out of control.

George Clooney To Marry?

George Clooney is reportedly finally set to give up bachelordom - and marry his lover, Sarah Larson.

The self-confessed marriage-shy actor is, according to inside reports, already engaged to Sarah, whom he met when she served him drinks at the Palm Casino Hotel in Las Vegas.

One restaurant worker in Laglio, the town where Clooney has a villa, said: ‘They haven’t made any announcement yet, but there are people in this town who know more than me. They say the couple are already engaged.’

Since Sarah met George she has ditched her £100,000-a-year job to join the jet-set, and has since enjoyed romantic trips to Venice, Dubaii, Miami and his Lake Como hideaway.

But it was the Oscars destination that really set tongues wagging: Sarah was the first woman to be invited to walk the red carpet with Clooney.

George previously enjoyed romances with RenĂ©e Zellweger and Lisa Snowdon but, the source says, he’s finally found someone 'he wants to really give it a go with'.

Hospital Warkers Suspended For Leaking Clooney's Medical Info

Just weeks after George Clooney was injured in a motorcycle accident and taken to Palisades Medical Center, CBS 2 has exclusively learned that dozens of doctors and hospital employees were suspended after apparently leaking Clooney's confidential information to the press.

The 46-year-old actor suffered a broken rib and road rash while a companion riding with him suffered a broken foot in the collision with another vehicle.

Within minutes, the media seemed to know everything about Clooney's condition, and sources tell CBS 2 Investigative Reporter Scott Weinberger that hospital officials are now investigating whether or not their own employees may have leaked information about Clooney to the media.

CBS 2 has learned as many as 40 employees have been suspended without pay and accused of accessing Clooney's medical records and giving that information to the press -- which is a violation of federal law.

A union spokesperson who represents some of the workers addressed the issue to CBS 2:

"It was inappropriate but they are paying a steep price. But I don't even think George Clooney would want people to pay. Again, the apology to him for his privacy rights [is necessary], but I think in fact the hospital is overreacting," says Jean Oterson of the HPAA.

Sources say while doctors were tending to Clooney's injuries, employees not involved with his care logged into the hospital computer system to review his medical records, and CBS 2 has learned a security guard even gave out the number to one of Clooney's family members.

"It's egregious that these hospital personnel gave out this information," said Rosemarie Arnold, an attorney who has handled cases of this nature.

"Obviously the information was leaked to the press. Because the press had the information and the only people who had privy to the information were the hospital personnel," Arnold said.

In a statement to CBS 2, the hospital said they take any violation of a law seriously and they are investigating.

Calls to Clooney's representation were not immediately returned.

Time's Interview With Ocean 13's Stars

Slow news day.... but then again it's only 845am.... plus I think this is quite interesting even if it's long...

TIME's Josh Tyrangiel sat down in Cannes with a very loose George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and series newcomer Ellen Barkin.

TIME: When you have so many stars in a movie, and it's the third in a trilogy, how do you keep it from going off the rails and becoming Cannonball Run 3?
CLOONEY: Well, we like to think it's more like Lord of the Rings, in the trilogy sense.
PITT: Wait, what's wrong with Cannonball Run 3?
DAMON: I don't even think there was a Cannonball 3. Look, you have us confused with deep thinkers. You've already put more thought into why we did the movie than we did.
CLOONEY: You're thinking that we're not just whores for money. There's your mistake.

So you don't get actorly and defensive if people think, Sure looks like they had a good time making that movie?
BARKIN: I do, because I did a lot of research on my character. [Laughter]
CLOONEY: The idea that every time you do a film you're supposed to be tortured confuses me. I mean, guys who say, "Oh, it's really tough, my character is really suffering"—come on. For us, even in the rotten ones we've had a good time. I don't think you have to suffer. Maybe Matt had to suffer.
DAMON: Yeah, I did. I had to go deep to find Linus.
BARKIN: Was that your character's name?
DAMON: Yeah.
BARKIN: I'm sorry, I only read my lines.
CLOONEY: We like that Matt's done three different Linuses in three different movies.
DAMON: I have done him kind of different each time.
BARKIN: It's important for him to change it up, while Brad and George have no range, so they just have to keep playing the same parts.

You were supposed to do Ocean's Twelve...
BARKIN: I did do Ocean's Twelve. My scene got cut. You did not do your homework.

I suppose I should've asked to come on set for Ocean's Twelve so I'd be prepared for the Ocean's Thirteen interview.
CLOONEY: You should have been there. There was some deep stuff going on on that one too.
BARKIN: [To Damon] I had an accent in that scene, didn't I? I had a Russian accent. Or did [director Steven Soderbergh] make me do it without the accent?
DAMON: Yeah, I think he was very polite and was like,"The accent's good. Let's just protect ourselves here and, uh ... " [Laughter] But that scene is on the new dvd they're doing, the "Explosive Extras" or whatever they call it. [More Laughter] What? They do that on the Bourne dvds. It's all these shitty scenes that we didn't put in the movie.

You've got Al Pacino in this movie, and previously you had Albert Finney and Julia Roberts. Are there any people you've approached who have actually said no?
CLOONEY: There is one. Bruce Willis turned down the first one.
BARKIN: Whose part?
CLOONEY: Actually, it was mine. He was supposed to be Danny Ocean, and he did end up doing the second one. I think he regretted not being in the first. But otherwise, pretty much anytime you go to someone with this, they sign on. We couldn't believe Al wanted to do it.

Were there any hoo-ah! moments in his performance?
BARKIN: What did he just call me?
CLOONEY: No, you're not a hoo-ah. No, no.
BARKIN: That was not nice. Not a nice Jewish boy.

Am I being ethnically profiled?
BARKIN: Yes, you are. I'm so happy there's another Jew in the room because when Steven isn't around ...
CLOONEY: I hate to tell you, but Soderbergh is Swedish.

Are you worried Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and George Clooney are going to start a pogrom?
BARKIN: I worry that every time I go to my hotel room, there are going to be areas that are cordoned off from me.
PITT: What's a pogrom?

It's an anti-Jewish riot. Pretty common in 19th century Eastern Europe.
CLOONEY: [Jokingly] You guys got a long memory. Jeez.
DAMON: Uh, anyway, I don't think anybody in this room is in a position to accuse Pacino of a hoo-ah! moment, especially in this movie, with some of the performances we turn in.
PITT: Hard to say somebody else is chewing scenery when you're wearing a fake nose.
DAMON: Yeah, I think Al was over the top!
CLOONEY: Our motto is, Less is nothing.

Shall we talk politics for a moment? I'm sure like most actors you're all watching the Republican field, just waiting for a candidate to get behind.
CLOONEY: I'm just hoping Gingrich gets in. Come on, Newt! Actually there's a really good field out there. I like Barack Obama a lot. I've spent some time with him.
PITT: You just cost him votes.
CLOONEY: I've actually had that conversation with him, just saying "Look, I'll give you whatever support you need—including staying completely away from you." Actors have done a lot of damage to candidates lately. My father ran for Congress in 2004, and it was "Hollywood vs. the Heartland!" My father was Hollywood.
PITT: I'm just hungry for some honesty and leadership. And I'm following them all—on all sides.
DAMON: I'm an Obama guy too. I think a lot of the problems in the world would be mitigated if he were the face of our country. I haven't ever met him or talked to him, but he's the first person in a long time who I've been inspired by.
CLOONEY: When other politicians stop and listen, that's how you know what charisma is. You can't teach that. He walks into a room and you go, "That's a leader."

On the subject of charisma, you've each been called the last great movie star at one point or another. Are we really running out of movie stars, and is that, like, a problem?
CLOONEY: The last real movie stars were probably Redford and Newman. And things were different then. There wasn't this amazing amount of magazines and information about them.
DAMON: We didn't know anything about them.
CLOONEY: There was mystique. They're 60 feet high, and you paid your buck and a half to go see them. But that's gone. People know everything about everybody now.
PITT: Jaws came along and proved you could make huge money with blockbusters, and it set this thing in motion that has lowered the subject matter. People like George have been getting good stuff out there, but it's an industry that pushes people out on the big stage too fast, before they're ready, and it eats them up as well. It's a different kind of arena now.
BARKIN: Think about it. Do we know anything about Robert Redford's children? Does he even have any?
DAMON: I worked with him, and I don't know.
PITT: I have four, if you haven't heard.

As we're talking, there are paparazzi in boats out in the harbor taking pictures. Having just been through the celebrity muck of Cannes, who gets it the worst?
CLOONEY: There's no question, it's Brad.
PITT: Well, exponentially, with us together ...
CLOONEY: But even before he was with [Angelina Jolie], we used to chum the water with him.
PITT: This is not a joke. They used to send me out to take the hits.
CLOONEY: We were at the airport in Italy. So I walk off the plane, and it's "Hey, Giorgio!" And I go, "Look! Brad Pitt!" and they're gone.
DAMON: You described it once as "People were stepping on our faces trying to get to Brad."
PITT: Ah, well, I don't take it as a compliment.

What other leading men do you like?
CLOONEY: I like Clive Owen a lot. Did you see Children of Men?
DAMON: That was my favorite movie last year.
CLOONEY: Me too.
DAMON: One of the most underrated actors right now as a leading man is Christian Bale. He turned in two great performances last year. He was great in The Prestige, and he was great in this movie called Harsh Times.
BARKIN: I like the very young Ryan Gosling.
CLOONEY: That couple—he goes out with Rachel McAdams ...
BARKIN: Splitsville. Don't you read Us?
CLOONEY: Well, those were two of the most talented young actors I've seen in a long time.
They're not dead.
BARKIN: And they should never have broken up—just for the sake of their careers.

What was it like being the only woman in the cast?
BARKIN: Exhausting.
CLOONEY: You're a woman?
BARKIN: I tried to pack 14 of you into just a few weeks. It's a lot of ground to cover.
CLOONEY: If there's anybody who could do it ...
BARKIN: I started with Carl [Reiner] and worked back from there.
CLOONEY: Only fair. He could go at any minute.

This is your first big movie in a long time ...
BARKIN: It's my first movie in a long time. You don't have to qualify that.

O.K. It's commonly held that roles get better for men in their 30s and 40s and significantly worse for women. Do actors talk about that discrepancy?
DAMON: It's a terrifically unfair business.
CLOONEY: It hasn't been equitable in a long, long time. It's incredibly unfair. You don't see a lot of 60-year-old women with 20-year-old men onscreen.
PITT: You will in Benjamin Button. [Pitt is currently shooting The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, in which his character ages backward.] Sixty and 20 to be exact.
CLOONEY: You're playing 20? Really?
DAMON: There's a lot of cgi. [To Pitt and Clooney] Is it true that you were the last two actors up for the hitchhiker role in Thelma & Louise?
CLOONEY: It was pretty embarrassing. They brought Brad and me in, and they just made us take our shirts off and stand there for a while, and then they picked Brad.
PITT: That is absolutely not true.

Did you know each other at that point?
CLOONEY: I knew him afterward.
DAMON: "Hey, that's the f___ing guy that took my job!"
CLOONEY: My friends said, "You want to see Thelma & Louise?" And I'm like, "F___ Thelma & Louise!" But it was fairly obvious when you saw the movie why I didn't get it, 'cause Brad just knocked it out of the park.
PITT: Aw, they were just grooming you for Batman.

Sexiest Man 2007?

The 'Good German' heartthrob currently holds the prestigious title, awarded by America's People magazine, and has made a bet with his two friends that none of the trio must be awarded the honour.

A source told Scotland's Daily Record newspaper: "The sexiest man thing has become a real in-joke for George, Brad and Matt.

"George is making things interesting and if any of them win it, they have to pay up. George has no intention of losing. He's even thinking of putting on weight and growing a beard again." George, 45, has won the title on two occasions, as has Brad Pitt. Matt Damon has previously joked about his disappointment that he is not considered as sexy as his friends, having never been bestowed the honour.

Clooney The Great

Hollywood star GEORGE CLOONEY yesterday (20DEC06) launched a plan to rebuild a hospital in hurricane-devastated Louisiana alongside ex-US President GEORGE BUSH.

The pair appeared outside the courthouse in Cameron Parish, the only surviving building in the town following Hurricane Katrina in August 2005.

Bush presented local officials with a cheque for $2 million (£1.03 million) from the Bush-Clinton Katrina fund. The money will help run South Cameron Memorial Hospital once it has been rebuilt next year (07).

Former ER star Clooney quipped, "There is good news in all of this, which is that when the hospital gets up and running, I will not be doing any of the medical procedures." He added, "I'm coming to remind people in the rest of the country that just because you're not on the front page anymore, all the problems that have been placed here from Katrina and (Hurricane) Rita are not solved yet."

Ocean's 13

Premiere Magazine has a little preview of Ocean’s 13 as Matt Damon, George Clooney, and Brad Pitt head back to Vegas — A little let down by Ocean’s Twelve? You’re not alone. “We got away from the reality and that disappointed me,” Bernie Mac says. “But this one is what Ocean’s Twelve should have been.” The original eleven return to Vegas, and their former enemy Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia) having butted heads with badass mogul Willie Banks (Al Pacino), comes to them for help. The crew must engineer a nine-minute period during which every gambler will win at Banks’s casino, and the plan hinges on Banks’s right-hand lady. While Thirteen explains the demise of Danny’s relationship with his wife Tess, the leader of the pack still managed to get his hands on some booty. “George kept grabbing my ass [on the set],” Mac says. “There are two things that you dont’ do to a black man: one, talk about his mama; two, grab his ass. Please tell George that.”

Clooney Proud Of Pitt And Jolie

GEORGE CLOONEY has praised his pals BRAD PITT and ANGELINA JOLIE for the way they manipulate the media to highlight pressing issues around the world.

Clooney has been buddies with Pitt for years, but respects his pal even more since he fell for Jolie, because the couple have done so much good already.
H
e says, "I couldn't be more proud to be their friend. They're really committed to bring attention to good causes.
"They have a very smart theory: if the cameras are going to follow them, they're going to go places where the cameras could do some good. I think it's a great idea."

George Mourns Max The Pig

George Clooney put a brave face on things as he attended the LA premiere of his latest flick The Good German. The handsome actor was mourning the loss of his 21-stone pig Max, who has lived with him at his Hollywood Hills mansion for the last 18 years.

Devoted owner George was promoting his period drama thriller when he heard his beloved pig had passed away. "He was as old a pig as the vets had ever seen," said the 45-year-old, who is still coming to terms with losing his unusual pet. "I was really surprised, because he's been a big part of my life." The Syriana star bought Max for his then girlfriend Kelly Preston, but got custody of him after the pair split.

Clooney Wears His Tiara

Playing off his appearance on David Letterman, George Clooney will be poking even more fun of his title of People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” (he won in 1987 and 2006). George will be sitting down with Matt Lauer to talk about his new film The Good German.” The interview will air on The Today Show on Monday, Dec. 4 and Tuesday, Dec 12 on NBC.

Originally on Letterman, pageant king George joked, “You tour with the other guys (who’ve won the award). We’ve got a bus. It’s Matthew McConaughey’s bus. You get a sash and a scepter and, well, we don’t like to call it a tiara.” Well, now George has got a sash and a crown tiara. Now all he needs is a scepter!

George Clooney - Sexiest Man Alive

George Clooney, 45, has earned for the second time People magazine's 'Sexiest Man Alive' honor.
"Brad's going to be upset," jokes Clooney, referring to his pal and Oceans 13 co-star Brad Pitt, who is also a two-time honoree. "He's enjoyed that mantle. I'd say 'Sexiest Man Alive' to him and he'd go, 'Two-time.' So that's been taken away. We used to call him Two Time."

With his signature sense of humor, Clooney tells People, on stands Friday, that the pressure of being named Sexiest Man is near unbearable. "There are all the events you have to show up for. The sash you have to wear ...it's embarrassing."

The actor also sounds off in People about his love life, saying sense of humor is the No. 1 quality he finds "most attractive" in a woman. "It's not the first thing you notice at 21, but it's the first thing you notice now," he says. "You also have to have a sense of humor about my life. It certainly has had an effect on relationships, but I would bet less of an effect than my own issues or insecurities."

And for those hoping he has softened on his no-marriage-for-me stance: Not yet. "I've been married (to actress Talia Balsam in the early '90s) It's not something I'm looking out for. The truth is, I'm really happy."
