Tommy Boy Is Desperate...Valkyrie Will Bomb...Trust!!!

With early reviews in the crapper and big budget epics like 'Australia' bombing at the box office, Tom Cruise is turning to fellow followers of the controversial Church of Scientology to ensure that his World War II-themed drama Valkyrie is a hit on the big screen this holiday season.

The eccentric actor is asking the world’s 8 million Scientologists to see Valkyrie on opening weekend.

“Scientologists always go in droves to watch Tom’s movies-only this time it’s on an international level,” a Scientology insider scoops to Star.

The faith “is really growing overseas, and Tom is using that to make sure his film does well in Europe and Asia.”

Valkyrie opens December 26. In the movie, Tom plays Claus Von Stauffenberg, a Nazi who once attempted to assassinate Adolf Hitler.

Katie Holmes Debuts On Broadway

Katie Holmes knows how to draw a crowd — including anti-Scientology demonstrators.

Nearly 100 people lined up outside the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre Thursday night an hour before Holmes acted on Broadway for the first time in a preview performance for "All My Sons."

Not in the line: roughly 30 Scientology protesters who stood behind a barricade and loudly chanted "Scientology kills!" Some wore masks like in the movie "V for Vendetta," and one poster read: "FREE KATIE."

Moments before the curtain went up, Holmes' husband — and Hollywood's most famous Scientologist — Tom Cruise entered the theater, where he mingled and shook hands with some other theatergoers who took photos and clapped. He then hugged Dustin Hoffman, who was sitting a couple rows away, which drew another cheer inside the theater.

Amid the hubbub, it took awhile for people to take their seats.

Melissa Doyle tried to ignore the ruckus. She said she took her spot in line early, and saw Holmes rush into the theater wearing skinny jeans, a black blazer and oversized sunglasses.

"I love Katie Holmes," the 27-year-old New Yorker said. "I think she's a great actress and right now, I really love her for her fashion, her style! I think she really kind of differentiates herself among young Hollywood. Plus, she's a mom — and I just think she's a really good role model."

Meanwhile, 27-year-old Alistair Savides, visiting from St. Louis, said he wasn't there to see Holmes. He said he's a fan of Arthur Miller's drama, which first played on Broadway in 1947.

"I don't really care about who's performing as long as they're good at what they do and it's a good play," Savides said.

As protesters' chants grew louder, Savides called it "surreal to be right in the middle of this thing. But, you know, there's always two sides to every story and they just really strongly believe in one side of the story. ... If it adds to public debate, maybe that's a good thing."

Cruise's membership in the Church of Scientology has made him a controversial target of criticism. And last year, Jada Pinkett Smith felt compelled to deny her good friend Holmes is a prisoner in her marriage to Cruise, who's been depicted by the tabloids as a controlling husband.

"All My Sons" concerns businessman Joe Keller (John Lithgow) whose factory supplied defective cylinder parts to the military, resulting in the deaths of 21 pilots during World War II. Yet it was his business partner who went to jail for the mistake.

Dianne Wiest plays Keller's wife; Patrick Wilson his idealistic son; and Holmes the son's fiancee and daughter of Keller's disgraced partner.

The play officially opens Oct. 16.

Will Smith Won't Admit Being A Follower Of Xenu

Will Smith has always basically been a ‘closet Scientologist’. But recently he hinted he really is a student of the Church of Scientology, after revealing he entrusts his fate to “patterns of the universe”.

The actor has always denied following the controversial faith, which was founded by science-fiction author L. Ron Hubbard, despite best pal Tom Cruise being a prominent member. He recently described himself as a “student of all religions” claiming:

”I don’t necessarily believe in organized religion. I love my God, my higher power, but it is mine and mine alone.”

However, during an appearance on The Today Show on Monday, Smith confessed he looks to the heavens when plotting his future saying:

”Choreographed is a rough word. I study the patterns of the universe. I watch how things happen, because they happen the same way over and over again. Definitely plot it out in advance. But I would say, as far as hitting the mark for exactly where I’m aiming, that’s kind of rare. There’s a flow of the universe that I’ve grown to know just how to go with it.”

Liar Liar Pants On Fire - Part 2

Defamer has learned that executives at Sony tried to have an MSNBC story outing Will Smith as a closeted Scientologist killed. With the Smith tentpole Hancock slated for a July release, execs are clearly worried their big summer blockbuster will turn into another Mission:Impossible 3 conundrum, when Tom Cruise's anything-but-glib antics spurred petitions against the film and damaged the film's B.O. on both the domestic and international fronts. In an effort to prevent a similar shitshow come July, our source claims Sony forced a denial statement out of Smith after MSNBC stuck by their original story:

"After word got out that Will was a secret Scientologist, reps from Sony [the studio behind Hancock] completely flipped out, and asked that the online exclusive be taken down immediately. After being refused, Sony forced Smith to speak out and release a denial statement."

But how did his friends in the Church take the news?

As our source explained, it appears the folks at Sony weren't the only ones up in arms about the Smith and Scientology claims. Apparently Will and his family have been giving money to the Church for years, though they've done a fantastic job keeping their donations under the radar. Says our source, "After Smith's Scientologist friends saw the denial today, they got incredibly pissed and some asked him, 'you're still gonna donate money, right?'" Considering the secretive nature of many celebrity Scientologists, coupled with an urgent request from a major studio to remove a rumor on a gossip site, it's time to take this story up a notch from rumor to fact. Since when do execs at a studio as powerful as Sony reach out to news-gathering organizations and attempt to use their leverage in order to kill potentially damaging stories? Oh yeah, that's right, since forever! We applaud the folks over at MSNBC for sticking to their guns (and their story).

Xenu Is Pissed.... Watch Out World

Several envelopes containing white powder were sent to the Church of Scientology in what appeared to be a hoax that prompted street closings and evacuations in Southern California, the FBI said Thursday.

The envelopes were mailed to at least 19 church addresses in Los Angeles and Orange counties, and began showing up Wednesday, the FBI said.

Glendale police shut down a street for two hours and Tustin authorities evacuated 60 people from buildings as hazardous materials teams were called in.

The FBI said initial tests indicated the powder was harmless but more tests were being conducted.

The church declined to comment Thursday.

The Los Angeles-based Church of Scientology was established in 1954 by science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard and claims 10 million members around the world, including celebrity devotees such as Tom Cruise and John Travolta.

Tommy Boy Is "Like A Nazi"

RESPECTED German historian Guido Knopp has compared a speech by US actor Tom Cruise to the Church of Scientology with a call to war by Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels.

Mr Knopp, an expert on World War II history, said in an interview with Bild newspaper published overnight: "Tom Cruise's manner calls to mind Goebbels."

The historian was commenting on a video recording of a rousing sermon Cruise delivered to fellow Scientology members four years ago that was recently posted on the Internet.

The Mission Impossible star is seen asking fellow members of the church: "Should we clean this place up?".

Mr Knopp said it was bound to remind Germans of Goebbels' notorious call for "total war" issued in Berlin on February 18, 1943.

"It is possible that the way in which Cruise speaks is common in many empowerment circles in the United States," he said.

"But the scene in which Cruise asks if the Scientologists should clean up the world and they all respond 'yes' will remind any German with an interest in history of Goebbels' infamous Sports Palace speech."

Cruise's portrayal of Nazi resistance hero Claus Schenk von Stauffenberg, an aristocrat who led a failed plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler in 1944, has caused unhappiness in Germany because of the actor's links to Scientology.

The movement is often described here as a sect that exploits its members financially. In December, regional ministers agreed to investigate the possibility of banning it.

I Love Scientology And Tommy Boy Is Not Gay

For fear of ending up like this guy, I know proclaim that I love Scientology and that Tommy Boy is really straight and that their marriage is not a sham and that Suri is not an alien and that Tommy is also a god.

The man who plotted to extort over $1 million from Tom Cruise has been found dead.

Authorities said David Hans Schmidt - who threatened to release stolen photographs of Cruise's wedding to Katie Holmes if he didn't receive between $1.2 and $1.3 million - was found dead at his Arizona townhouse on Friday (28.09.07).

Initial reports indicate Schmidt, who was under house arrest and faced up to two years in federal prison after agreeing to plead guilty to extortion, appeared to have committed suicide.

Lieutenant Anthony Lopez said police officers visited his home at around 3pm after noticing a tracker placed on him had not moved and he had not checked in with police.

The 47-year-old man - who had been released on $100,000 bail - had not yet entered his guilty plea in court, but a plea agreement to that effect was filed in Los Angeles on August 24.

Schmidt also faced a fine of $250,000.

Dubbed the 'Sultan of Sleaze', Schmidt was known for brokering deals involving compromising photographs and videos of celebrities.

Scientology Faces Criminal Charges

BRUSSELS, Belgium - A Belgian prosecutor on Tuesday recommended that the U.S.-based Church of Scientology stand trial for fraud and extortion, following a 10-year investigation that concluded the group should be labeled a criminal organization.

Scientology said it would fight the criminal charges recommended by investigating prosecutor Jean-Claude Van Espen, who said that up to 12 unidentified people should face charges.

Van Espen's probe also concluded that Scientology's Brussels-based Europe office and its Belgian missions conducted unlawful practices in medicine, violated privacy laws and used illegal business contracts, said Lieve Pellens, a spokeswoman at the Federal Prosecutors Office.
"They also face charges of being ... a criminal organization," Pellens said in a telephone interview.

In a statement, Scientology's Europe office accused the prosecutor of hounding the organization and said it would contest the charges.
"For the last 10 years, the prosecutor has been using the media, trying to damage the reputation of the Church of Scientology and not being able to put a case in court," Scientology said. "As a consequence, this created a climate of intolerance and discrimination" in Belgium.

Scientology has been active in Belgium for nearly three decades. In 2003, it opened an international office near the headquarters of the European Union to lobby for its right to be recognized as an official religious group, a status it does not enjoy in Belgium.

Investigators have spent the past decade trying to determine how far Scientology went in recruiting converts after numerous complaints were filed with police by ex-members alleging they'd been the victims of intimidation and extortion.

Justice officials seized financial records, correspondence, bank statements and other papers in their decade-long probe to track the flow of money to Scientology. Police also raided the offices of several consultancy firms linked to the Church of Scientology.

Belgium, Germany and other European countries have been criticized by the State Department for labeling Scientology as a cult or sect and enacting laws to restrict its operations.

The German government considers Scientology a commercial enterprise that takes advantage of vulnerable people.

New Yorkers Beware... Alien Invasion Soon

NY Post reports:

April 6, 2007 -- Scientology superstar Tom Cruise is coming here to promote his controversial "detox" project to 9/11 workers, and will host a mega-fund-raising gala for it.

Tickets for the April 19 fund-raiser, which will star Cruise and benefit the New York Rescue Workers Detoxification Project, run as high as $100,000 for a table for eight.

The downtown Manhattan clinic offers free Scientology-inspired treatments to firefighters, cops and other rescue workers exposed to high levels of toxins at Ground Zero.

This clinic is of course not endorsed by the Fire or Police departments but apparently getting city funds.

But some experts questioned the program's effectiveness and warned it posed serious potential hazards.

"This is just hocus-pocus," Dr. Bob Hoffman of the New York City Poison Control Center told The Post in 2004. "For some people, sitting in a hot environment can be very dangerous."

Victoria Beckham Will Not Join The Aliens

'"There's no way I'd spend any money on that nonsense," she told a friend recently about the faith founded by author L. Ron Hubbard.

Says another pal: "It's completely laughable that there's even talk of her becoming a Scientologist. Just because people are friends with someone doesn't mean they do everything they do. Scientology is like kabbala in that it's become all about money. Kabbala bracelets are now $28! It's a joke." In July, "Posh Spice" and her husband, David Beckham, are moving to California, where he scored a reported five-year, $250 million contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team. None of which will be used to ward off thetans or Xenu, the evil space emperor central to Scientology doctrine.

As the pal puts it: "Scientology is an expensive religion; Victoria is too cheap to convert."'

Tom Cruise Is The Anti-Christ

Okay not really..... I think but.....

Tom Cruise has been named the new "Christ" of Scientology, according to the leaders of the religion.

The Mission: Impossible star has reportedly been told that he has been chosen to spread the word of his faith throughout the world.

Leader David Miscavige believes that in the future Cruise will be revered like Jesus for his work in propagating the religion.

A source told The Sun, "Tom has been told he is Scientology's Christ-like figure. Like Christ, he's been criticised for his views. But future generations will realise he was right."

Cruise joined the Church of Scientology in the 1980s and has recently risen to one of the Church's top levels.

JLo Is Not Adopting After All

Jennifer Lopez has denied reports that she and her husband Marc Anthony are to adopt a baby from Puerto Rico reports Music Rooms.

It was reported that Jennifer Lopez was so desperate for a child she would adopt rather then wait until she got pregnant.."

"Jen realizes she's not getting any younger, so they've jointly decided that adoption may be the answer to their prayers."

A rep for the Lopez, denies all adoption rumors.

In other news, Jennifer Lopez's worried family have told her to say no to Scientology

"Jennifer, who's been a Catholic since birth, was told in no uncertain terms by her mother Lupe and other family members that exploring Scientology could backfire on her," a family source told The ENQUIRER.

"They fear Scientology could damage her reputation."

Scientology is considered a cult by some.

"Not that her family doesn't respect others' beliefs, but they think Scientology goes against their core religious faith. Her mom told her that the Church of Scientology would love to have her as a member because they could use the publicity to recruit new followers," said the source.

Victoria Beckham Is An Alien

Victoria Beckham is reportedly set to star in Tom Cruise's new Scientology film.

The Spice Girl has apparently been lined up to play an alien bride in 'The Thetan' - based on the bizarre sci-fi cult, which believes in alien life forms.

Victoria is said to be "thrilled" about getting her big Hollywood break.

A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Victoria is really hoping to make a go of it in Hollywood. This could be the perfect start for her, with good pal Tom Cruise in charge."

The 32-year-old - who made her first attempt at acting in the 1997 Spice Girls movie 'Spice World'- will play the bride of an alien leader called a thetan, which Scientologists claim is an immortal spiritual being, present in all humans.

Cruise - who is bankrolling the project himself after it was rejected by all the major film studios - is said to have picked Victoria for the role after being impressed by her "comic genius".

Victoria - who is married to soccer superstar David Beckham - is currently looking to buy a property in Los Angeles after recently landing a presenting role on a new US fashion programme.

Cruise May Just Give Holmes A Cat

When Tom Cruise marries Katie Holmes this weekend, like many a devout Scientologist, he may promise to provide her with "a pan, a comb, perhaps a cat."

"A photo of a Scientology wedding usually has a bride wearing a white dress and the groom wearing a dark suit and the party behind them. It is a joyous affair," said Church of Scientology spokeswoman Karin Pouw.

Pouw said what makes a Scientology wedding unique is the advice offered in the ceremony for couples to maintain and improve their relationship.

In the old-fashioned language that marks the Traditional version, the groom is reminded that "girls" need "clothes and food and tender happiness and frills, a pan, a comb, perhaps a cat" -- and is asked to provide them all.

The bride, in turn, is told that "young men are free and may forget" their promises.

LOL!!!! Tom is not exactly "young" and true he might forget their promise and sleep around.... and I mean sleep around!!!
